Honey I Shrunk the Stool | DIY
In this video, I take on the challenge of modifying some bar stools that were a little too tall for our kitchen. With a custom jig I created, I’ll show you how I carefully cut them down to the perfect height.
But that's not all! As a fun surprise, I attempted to knock off all the legs I cut and see if the chair would land perfectly on the table. Will it be a success? Watch until the end to find out!

great idea , i am thinking in doing one for vinil disc , thanks
Cool idea!
I love this. I was actually thinking of making something similar as a remembering board for people we’ve lost.
That’s a fantastic idea. I’d love to see a pic, if you make one
how long did you each segment for the triangles?
I’m making woodworking plans for this but hopefully this helps - 24” bottom and one side 23” and the other 22 1/4”.
You’ve been holding out on me!!
Nice!!!
Why did the chicken cross the road... Finally the answer... The farmers city cousin came to visit.. was asking all sort of questions.. One being. What happens when your chickens get old and dont lay any more eggs... The farmer said that when they go in the stew pot... Millie heard this story... So where was millie going... To buy another dozen eggs
Your wife is right about the ladder thing, would you rather save 5 seconds by not messaging her “I’m going up a ladder btw” or have her walk over to your dead body after hours of bleeding out, think about your family and other not just yourself.
Yeah I knew it was dumb. Lol
Summer time. Stay hydrated out there.
Thanks, feel like I’m drinking 2 gallons a day. But the fans are helping
Making the short length of the tunnel turn sideways providing the chicks with fresh ground from time to time,is a superb idea! (I was concerned to start with, that all of your tunnel is wrapped around with the mesh wire on all three sides, as the birds do need to scratch the soil.)
Thanks! It’s worked out great so far. And moving the chunnel daily gives them fresh grass and doesn’t kill the grass. Thanks for watching!
I just let mine free range all day coop at night ...they know about the goshawk
That’s awesome. Wish we could do that.
That’s a Dibber or Dibbler :-)
I use sevin dust. My orchard is separate from the garden. Once a week for the month of June.
We’ll try that!
Just what I was looking for. All I needed was to see the tool to realize how simple and easy it was to make. Thanks
Glad it helped! It can be a beast to turn without that tool
My prayers for you and thank you for posting this. I need to call my old man
Thanks for the prayers. I’m glad you liked it, it was a hard to do the video but I’m glad I did it. Say hi to your pops from me
First of all, it's great that you are teaching your children the Bible. One of the great things about the Bible is that it teaches you how to think, not just what to think. Some would liken prayer sticks to voodoo dolls and tarot cards. I'm not saying that it's that serious, but it can be in the wrong hands. Useful tool though. Makes a good hole dibber.
Thanks for sharing!!
The end is pointy. I use my finger. But good idea.
Just using our finger is what we have always done too. The only benefit for this specific project was the ground was hard and we couldn’t till because there were actively growing wild flowers. But you’re right, usually using your finger works great. 👍
Thats just pants with extra steps! Lol
😂 pretty sweet pants
Almost makes the shorts pointless.
I bet I know what that’s for!
Wow this took some courage to post. Thanks for being real and I'm sure you are great example to your kids. I talk to mine every day, he's been gone 8 years now but I still hear his voice. Keep on keepin on
Thanks so much. I get it. I have a voicemail saved from him to be able to hear his voice again
@stavenessstudioshomestead not sure how you got in my CZcams feed but I dig the content. I'm doing your chairs this weekend. I had a farm in Kentucky before I moved to AZ and built alot of stuff. It's therapeutic in a way. Helped me deal with depression too. Stay healthy my brother
Love it. Would love to see the finished product

Oh great!!! More stuff for me to build. Lol. Keep the videos coming. So far, I've built 2 potato planters and strawberry planters, or as my wife calls it, the bee hive. Hope you do an update on all these. I really like the design.
That’s awesome! I’d love to see what you’ve created.
Yum, KFC
My girls would never let me. Haha
Try some Terro ant killer mixed with water, but just dont kill native ants, fire ants are fine though.
Dude where did you find the planter rowers. Those are awesome.👍🤙❤️
Thanks, I made them! I have an instructional video on how to make them. If you’re handy and want to tackle the project, here is the link: czcams.com/video/rbIRN3zBANw/video.htmlsi=ZJQ3VwCVVDnZNdbf Let me know how it goes.

Absolutely!
Corn spacing: if you are planting heirloom field corn (Rieds, Truckers, Bloody Butcher, etc) then you want a 12in grid. If growing modern hybrid/gmo franken-corn you can go down to 6.5in spacing but if you do that with heirlooms they don't put any ears on. Popcorn can go as tight as 6.5in spacing since they are smaller plants. Sweetcorn works around 9in. Correct spacing maximizes yield while giving the corn the ability to shade out weeds themselves from mid season and beyond. ... Alternative to plastic for larger gardens/fields: Plant Winter Rye Grain (not rye grass!) six weeks before fall frost then in spring plant the corn into the standing rye and when the corn is up a few inches use your foot/board/lawn roller "down and back" to flatten and terminate all the rye into a straw mat that blocks weeds and feeds the corn until it is tall enough to shade the weeds out itself.
This is fantastic! Very helpful. I’m going to try some of this next year.
Love the dark body and light accents!
I’ve never seen it done like this. That’s awesome!
Thank you! Cutting weed mat can be so challenging and the torch made it super easy.
I have to cut one too, (PVC that is). Thanks - hot glue as a clamp is a good idea!
That’s great! Glad it helps. 😊
I would not suggest doing that again
😂 agree
Nice
😂 I like your video. I've been looking to buy something like this for my pool equipment. Unfortunately I don't have the tools to make one. When I Google it, mostly what comes up is the 17" emergency water shut off wrench/tool - do you think that would work as well?
This is the only thing I found when I was researching options for you. You can check it out. amzn.to/4dlx7rO (heads up this is an affiliate link)
My son is making me like 3 at the moment! Thanks for your insight.
That’s fantastic! I hope they work great for you.
@@stavenessstudioshomestead They look amazing and the chickens are in them more than their actual run! I am creating a compound with the chunnels between them. I wish I could free range but we have to many predators here in TX. Thanks again for your design ideas!
That’s fantastic! We have the same problem here, a ton of predators, and we haven’t lost one chicken in over two years to a predator. There would be a lot of tears from our little girls if we did.
I absolutely Love playing with the auger ! (have 4" to 2' bits) I planted 48 fruit trees in a day with one. You two enjoy each other and always will !!
Excellent Work !!! I hope you are proud of that !!
Thanks so much 😊
How much did you spend on this project? I love it.
2-12’ deck boards $26 1-4ft wide roll of chicken wire Smallest roll I could find was 50 feet. $27 You only need 12 feet so you’ll have plenty left over to build more 12 foot runs So under 50 bucks with extra material unless you can find a smaller roll of 4 foot wide chicken wire
get yourself a wire coathanger.... straighten it out and design a leg grab hook at one end.... saves alot of time
Great idea
Can you eat it roster 😂😂
So nice , lucky ☺️
Perfect! Was looking for a D.i.y bike pedal. Great mines think alike . Wouldn't happen to know the bolt size ?
