Ese Si Era Un Carrazo De Lujo Con Ciertos Aires De Cadillac
No carb? Fuel injected?
it was a carbureted 318 cubic inch v8 with chrysler’s “lean burn system” for timing
@@gavinconley9019 yea I had the same exact car - I was asking because yours started up so quickly and smooth. Mine would only do that if I made a quick run inside the store and came back but if I let it sit for an hour or let it get cold I would have to pump the gas to start it and peddle the gas to bring the idle back down. It was a pain to deal with. I wanted to keep mine and switch out the lean system for a 6al ignition swap.
This car is like 3 decades in one. You can see the M-Platform's 1970s origin when you look at the instrument panel and exposed wiper arms. The overall interior screams 1980s, while the steering wheel with airbag and that overhead digital display gave hints of what's going to become mainstream Mopar in the 1990s.
Had a HORRID EXPERIENCE with a BEATEN '83! I bought this from a CROOK, it smoked oil-blowby like "NO TOMORROW, but I could see that this was ACTUALLY; A GREAT CAR!
I have a 82 Chrysler Fifth Avenue white red leather interior is my parents car showroom condition I take it the car shows
Do you want to sell it?
Magnifique !
Love the black on white, mine is all white with red interior
I want ittt
Beautiful automobile!!! 🇺🇸
It is really similar to but considerably upmarket from the car in Heart's video of All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You from 1990. She drove a Plymouth Gran Fury that looked to be quite new at that time in the video where she picked up the male hitchhiker, took him to a motel that she supposedly knew well from another time before, and used him to get pregnant, because her man was infertile and she wanted to have a baby.
Driver side airbag and smooth transmission all good, it's a nice car looks pretty.
That’s the Oval Office on wheels.
Love K platform. Elegant outside and inside.
Not a K body platform. M body.
Me gusta el carro
Gorgeous
In great condition. These were real cars in their day.
Still are. I have an 87 Gran Fury myself. The usual cop shocks, motor, etc, as the Blues Brothers would say, runs fine on today's regular gas. Found there are kits available from Holley, Edelbrock, etc for the 318/360 that dispense with the lean burn and convert to throttle body or conventional fuel rail style EFI. I'm thinking about conversion as ethanol free gas is expensive. Runs better with it
Beautiful car.
Oil pressure gauge not working? It's high. But a fantastic looking fiero
1986 GT.
Beautiful. I expect spare parts are available for this model.
super
you wanna tell me you can put your own music even for an old car like that?I mean its from 80s i guess but i didn't know you can put your own things like when he put that casette in
Curious my dad had a 86 on the air bag option where was the warning lamp located on the cluster?
Next to the washer light
Cars🇺🇸👑👍🏻😍
1977...
Don't forget to flush the antifreeze and change the thermostat.
I've had two 87s and 85, if it ever stops running on you there's a ceramic piece underneath the hood it's a ballast resistor, you can change it yourself it's a piece of cake. I always just took mine off and reconnected the wires.
Ah the ballast resistor. We had a 1973 Coronet and once when it wouldn’t start it was the ballast resistor! Wait! Are you saying you can just remove the ballast resistor, connect the two wires, and run without it?
Great 👍video and car ! These 5th Avenues reminds me of my parents Dodge Aspen on which the Chrysler was based on .
What tape is that you put in the stereo? It sounds great.
That's "Stones in the Road" by Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Was there a manual option?
No, the only transmission offered was the 3-speed Torqueflite automatic.
Learned to drive on an 85 Lebaron, that hood orniment takes me back!
Mine seems to idle high Not quite sure why
Adjust the choke, fast and curb idle speeds, timing, or find the vacuum leak.
It could be factory operation, in the user manual it says to lightly and quickly depress the accelerator when that happens and it should go down
Driver side airbag and knee bolster was standard on the M body beginning in May of 1988. Also getting airbags at that time were the L body OmniRizon (made in Kenosha like the M), and the G body Daytona and LeBaron coupes.
Love it
this was the first year that these had the driver's side airbag equipped to them. before that it was your typical steering wheel. now why this was such a big deal back then was because, no other American car company even offered an airbag at this time especially an airbag as standard equipment back in 1988. it wasn't the first American car company to offer an airbag, gm offered one back in the 70's on select models, but it was more a of a short lived experiment than anything else.
This is my first time seeing an airbag in a 5th Ave. I remember seeing the Chrysler air bag commercials
“If it’s good enough for Lexus, why not Toyota camry or Tercel? Only Chrysler corporation puts driver side airbags in all of the cars it builds in the US.~Chrysler 1987”
1988 was the only year GM actually had a dual air bag system back in the 1970’s as a option on full size cars I think 73 to 75 it was called Air Cushion Restraint System
@@walterbatman7949 I remember researching that on CZcams
Don, that is a handsome Fifth Avenue. I love how they changed the Fifth Avenue logo to that icon on the vinyl top at the rear doors. I am flying out to St. Louis in two weeks to purchase an 85, not far from where it was built, in that city. The headliners on these cars ALL seem to need replacing. I am fortunate enough to be picking mine up from a guy who replaced all the parts that tended to go wrong with these over time. Very happy for you, man. You should be proud of this car. It's been about 15 years in the making for me. I drove one of these when I was a teenager in high school, and ever since someone wrecked mine, I've been wanting it back again. It's nice to see these cars in loving hands like yours. Someone who appreciates the vehicle. Is this something you plan on garaging, or is it a daily driver? Just curious how you'll treat yours. You going to try to fix your headliner issues?
How much and where are you?
Car has been sold on bring a trailer last week. This video was posted for the buyer.
