The Stillness of Time Travel - BRILLIANT NEW BOOK!
The Stillness of Time Travel - fabulous new book by A.J.Maddicott - A gripping adventure of grown up proportion for those who crave a real traditional deep and exciting yarn! Make time to read it today! Three friends, two enemies, one diamond. Benedict Tempest had read in the history books about the theft of the world's most famous diamond, the Star of Banhavgarh, from the British Museum in 1861. What he didn't know was that he was responsible for its disappearance. A breathtaking adventure with cheek-tingling thrills and more twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti, this book contains man-eating tigers, hordes of rats, fearsome warriors, ferocious dogs and worse. If you're wondering what could possibly be worse than these things, twelve year old Benedict is about to find out.
Read the amazing reviews on Amazon...5 Stars...all of them so far....
"I think the fact it's 3.50am when I am writing this review explains it all. What a book. I have just finished it and felt I had to mention what an incredible read it is. It is an epic novel. The reader can't help but be transported, and the feeling that I have been on an epic journey with the characters is something I've only experienced before in the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. It's very original, which is itself so refreshing at a time when there is so much similar fiction out there. Its appearance is also perfect and it takes all the attention on my shelf, much to the disappointment of Eragon. While exciting, the book is also very funny, particularly because of the humour and chemistry between the main three characters which is far beyond that in any other novel I've read. I feel I should also mention what must be the most intense and most relentless action scene ever (and the reason I don't feel tired at all). A.J. Madicott manages to build up the tension again and again, culminating in an awesome face off between the main character, Benedict, and the villain. Thank you to the author for creating something unforgettable. I can safely say that if 'The Stillness of Time Travel' does not become famous I will eat all of my books......... except this one :) "

The first time I heard this song, it was on "The Shuttleworths" on radio four in 1999 (I was 34 then) Graham Fellows (John Shuttleworth) ended the show doing a duet with Leo Sayer singing Dandelion & Burdock!. The song tells us of our childhood from a time long gone and his witty play with words ... On haring it again now, I wish I was back in 1999 ... things were better for me then!.
