With so many cameras being used, there is a real danger that we will suck all the photons out of our world. The only way to avoid being plunged into darkness is for people to view the videos and pictures, thereby releasing the photons back into the wild. We must seek a balance.
Drop Mechanism Test Phantom 3S
I stripped the camera off of a DJI Phantom 3S drone and am figuring out how much it can carry. I've installed an extra RC receiver hooked up to a servo which works a release mechanism This is my first success in dropping a payload from altitude.

Took off from my driveway, aimed the camera down and waved as I gained altitude. I then pivoted the camera facing East to show altitude.
Flying 2 Phantom drones first try

I flew a Phantom 2 and a Phantom 3s at the same time. I first flew the Phantom 2 and let it sit in hover mode. I then flew the Phantom s up to it and got some video and stills on the 2's camera. I messed up on the 3 and didn't get any vids or pics. I wouldn't try this with any wind. I also think the project is complicated enough to start using checklists....
My First Tool Path using Fusion 360

Fusion 360 is a 3D CAD program (Computer Aided Design) which has CAM built in (Computer Aided Manufacturing). I've done 2D CAD for 20 years or so. I had mechanical drawing in high school (1966) so 2D CAD wasn't too hard to learn, but 3D is a whole new ballgame. I just keep playing and making mistakes till something happens! I'll have to download the G code and see what the machine has written. ...

I got a deal! I bought a Delta Shopmaster variable speed drill press at a surplus auction. It was in a bundle with a cheapo Black and Decker band saw all mounted on a nice bit of well bit furniture

1 pic per minute time lapse shot with a Raspberry Pi computer with Raspberry Pi 5mp camera. I placed the camera shooting through a window. I hadn't figured on the reflection of the cameras light. Also when it got dark outside the window acted like a half mirror.

well this might not get answered cause vid is so old but maybbbbbbbbe. you happen to have any info on the "nippled fitting"/ fuel inlet into this lift pump? Am converting to AN6 fittings and really need this to replace all my horrible fuel lines and leaks. (on a horribly done customized conversion yet.... HAS to be my daily driver ASAP) orrrr. do you think the nipple could be cut off, drilled out and put an NPT fitting in its place. That would be up to what is seat the check valve hits... is that up inside the fitting... or on the end of the threaded portion of this fitting where it meets up with the chamber inside the pump housing?

What is a point of having that roof rack and don't share the brand and place where you bought it? I have a same car as you and I want a same roof rack to buy and avoid drilling when it can be attached to the gutter. Please provide me with info about it.

The thing to realise is those lines around them are still active and powered while they are working! that why all the rubber suits and arms sleeves as well as the rubber line covers. 12,000 volts or so....

I was there, it was great & fun. I came with a few bus's from Ann Arbor.
Wrong blade for ripping, you have a cross cut blade on. No anti-kick on your work and nothing to hold your work past the cut...... no support at the exit side, the board tilts up against the blade and it will send that board flying at you. Wrong way to operate this arm saw, it is NOT safe for your viewers. I do not get it... two passes for one cut?. that burnt mark on you cut piece is telling me that blade is not adjusted right and also the table not being parallel to the arm. You look stiff and afraid. You should not be ripping this way on a radial arm saw. take the video off.
I worked as a machinist for 20 plus years. I take safety seriously. Wood seems so tame to me. My advice to all is count your fingers before you start work, not so much to make sure the count matches after you finish, thought that is good, but to train and re-calibrate your hand eye connections. You must not be distracted when you work! Zero in and stay that way till you turn off the motor.

Good form mate. Do up a favor, drop the anti kick paw down. We would hate to see you get a bruise on your gut or send a piece of wood through the garage wall. And as for the comment above feeding from the wrong side- you need to learn what a radial arm saw is and does and the correct way to use them before telling someone their using it wrong. It would be absolute stupidity to feed a board in the downward rotation of the blade. The only issue in this video is he didn't use the anti kick paw.

I Hi.. i have a craftsmsn router keeps turning off due to sparks..i took apart and filed the commutator good on a lathe and then i flattened the brushes good and now it works a bit better but powers off at high rpm setting...sparks...anyone have any suggestions..brushes are about 1/2 in long
Under the exhaust of this engine. What is that cap? Is it a freeze plug? Mine has a pin hole leak in it. That’s the only thing I can make of it

I am sorry to hear about ur friend passing away. Did you ever finish your car ? I did buy 4 door w123 with bad motor, but it is rust free. When I saw how much it is to fix rust issues I stayed away. Stay busy!
They should open the CB band to digital modes, among other things. Particularly packet, being an old mode that's practically gone now. I'm not a CBer, but that band is deader than packet these days. Much of the reason is that the laws governing it are cartoonishly narrow (though unenforced, to my knowledge). If they busted it out a little, upgraded it with digital to enhance the fun and practical applications, that might change.
