Nearly one year later i've started doing load development with my Savage 110 Elite Precision in 300 Win Mag again. I will make a part 3 of this video at some point (hopefully not a year from now) so watch for that.

My cruise control light doesn't turn on and I've pretty much tried everything else. Has this worked for anyone with the same problem?
What year?
I’m looking at picking up same gun hope it’s better then my Remington 770 with a Boyd stock
This one is pretty good from what I can tell. I wish it was a 300PRC only because I really want a 300PRC but the Win Mag is pretty good for the shorter ranges here in Pennsylvania.
Dang my savage 110 precision in 300 prc won't put 3 Hornady match 225 in less than a 3 inch group. Still haven't shot all the ammo I bought so I haven't been able to shoot anything else. So far my average group for 3 shots is 3.5 inches at 100 yards.
Man, that’s bad. Id try some factory ammo and if it won’t shoot I’d look for an issue or send it in for service. My scope rings were loose at the base a while back. That gun was way too much money for that crap.
@@dexterous2000 unfortunately that was factory Hornady match 225gn. I haven't set up to load this caliber yet so hand loading isn't an option as of yet. I bought 8 boxes of this ammo when I bought the rifle so I need to shoot it all up. I have 78 rounds through it so far and it's as bad now as the first group. I wish I could find some different brands of match to try in it
Oh man, something is definitely wrong there. Are you 100% sure the pic rails are tight? My pic rails came loose right after I bought the gun. Any chance it’s the scope? What scope?
I lock tited everything down when I received it and I just double checked and everything is still tight. Running an arken EP5 on top and everything is tight on the rings as well. Everything torqued to arken spec
Just to be sure I’d try a different scope, even a regular hunting scope at 100 yards. It could also be bad ammo but that would be unusual. I’ve been wishing I had a 300 PRC, if you were close I’d swap you and figure it out.
I've been a heavy user of the Lab Radar for years. I've only experienced a few problems with capturing a .308 suppressed. Never found a fault when shooting my Win Mag with a break or can attached. But I solved 99.9% of the few problems I had with the Lab Radar when I purchased the Garmin.
Yeah, I have a Garmin too and it’s amazing!
If you buy a 6.5 you either can't save money. You don't make enough money. Or you have a secondary weapon to make app for the 6.5 chump of a gun.
I own one if you can see it or if you know it's somewhere out there done deal
Wer you have it sitting now it is picking up before the trees.
Also get a trigger activator for the labrador.
Number one its not close enough to the barrel and has to be pointing either straight at the target or to the oppisit side of were the bullet will trvel.
Garmin is making a new chronograph that is excellent, the size of your cell phone.
Yep, I have one of those too
The powder was purchased from a Cabela’s in Central Ohio, so I doubt that it’s counterfeit. If it was from a random place online, I would say that there’s a possibility.
I wonder if someone sold you a conterfeit powder - swapped out the good stuff with el cheapo garbage. Have you noticed any differences in performance with those loads?
🎉 good job 👍
Nice
I had rented a labradar several months ago and checked the velocity of several rifles/loads, 222 up to 300wm. All read with no issues and without really having to precisely aim the labradar; except for the 300wm. This rifle has no muzzle device whatsoever. I didn't spend much time trying to get a reading because I had an estimated velocity using Strelok. I have since bought my own (gently used) Labradar, and will definitely consider this video if I have any problems! Thanks!
Thanks so much for making this video! I just got a brand new LabRadar and I had trouble with a 6.5 PRC with a suppressor. Went by the book and only acquisition errors. Finally, with only 3 rounds left, I moved it to the left side of my muzzle and it worked for the last 3 shots. I was using a camera tripod but looks like I need to order the small Labrador tripod. Thanks so much for making this video-very helpful!
Regarding the LabRadar unit, I've talked to guys who have the device. Two of the three were having some problem with it, so I waited for a company-made unit without all the operating problems, the Garmin Xero C1 Pro; I have watched more than ten videos - short story, I got the Garmin, and it is costly at $599.99, so what. It is my fifth chronograph. I know that it's not mine, but if it was, I would sell it, take that money, and buy Garmin.
I also have an X1 Chronograph and I love it. At first I was going to sell the lab radar but I decided to keep it.
Grab one of the triggers like I had in the video, you will REALLY thank yourself, especially when using a suppressor.
There was a single box at a local store. I have also seen it showing as in stock at a few places online. Check ammo bot or one of the other search sites, I bet you will find some.
I got about 1000 rounds of the 195 Eld match 300 win mag I found thru a guy on snipers hide. Do you know which shop you found yours at cause it’s damn near impossible to find anywhere else. I’m handloading my brass for PRS but using factory loads still for practice.
Part 2 is now ONLINE! - czcams.com/video/WF4MPTE9CDU/video.html
GREAT NEWS GUYS! I just ordered 2,000 CCI 250 primers from Target Sports USA (they have them in stock). This is the first time in a year that I have bene able to purchase Large Rifle Magnum primers. Its going to be January till I can start doing load development again but its going to happen.
I will 100% share everything once I have more primers. In fact, I will make an entire video series as I work through various loads!
From how many yards?
100
I have no issue sharing the load data for this test but UNDERSTAND THAT IT WAS A VERY LIMITED TEST. There were no pressure signs in the gun that I was using but its by no means a standard hunting rifle. The test was conducted with 100% new Lapua brass, Alliant Reloader 22 powder and the Hornady ELD-X 220gr bullet (PN 3078). I wish I could post the exact powder charge range that I used but the SSD on the computer that I use in my reloading room failed almost immediately after this test and I lost the version of the excel file with the latest notes.
Guys, I am really sorry that I haven’t updated this video or posted the load data. I had fully intended to do some additional development and then post all my data but I ran into an issue. I haven’t been able to find any large rifle magnum primers since late 2022. I have a few primers left but I need to save them for hunting loads since we have no idea when they will be available again.
just buy number 34 primers cci. They are magnum primers
@@emotionlessmarshmallow4581 Sure, send me a link to a place with them in stock!
Exacly i just hit do not recommend. Like cool you got your gun dialed
Sorry man, see my comments
Would it work I wonder for a f350?
The guy that help me with my load developments, he made a 4 legged stand where we can set the Lab radar above the rifle with a trigger sensor and I have never had a shot not register
A friend of mine had similar experience. With 308, everything OK, with its .338LM, not good record, until he installed it above his gun... Small table just obove the line of sight. Problem solved
Tom, I see you have a trigger mounted for the labradar. Were you still having errors using the trigger?
The trigger helped a lot. I have virtually zero missed shots and everything has been working great.
@@dexterous2000So was it the positioning of the unit or the triggering device that solved the problem?
@@tudyk21 It was both. Even with the unit perfectly aimed, it didn’t register 10-20% of my shots. I figured out the aiming pretty well (display said the signal was great) and the trigger resulted it 99% of all shots being recorded.
Maybe I should write more than I do, but this was great, thanks. My backhoe sometimes swings both ways great, sometimes barely 1 way at all. Also, it seems while I am driving, the hoe seems to swing ever so little 1 way all by itself. I need to keep adjusting it, so this helps me narrow my research, thanks.
You are not annealing that brass correctly. It's not getting hot enough.
That's great! I never did a food plot due to the neighborhood I live in no one lets the 2 year olds go. Competition is fierce. Farm fields all around with a bow hunter behind every tree.
I’ma new Labradar user too. 2 range sessions, public range 1 hour away and I’m disgusted with the results. Velocities given by the Labradar seem Way off - meaning 2400fps for a factory Hornady 6.5 creedmoor- box states 2700 … and I used 2700fps in Trasol on the range perfectly to 1 shot point of sun, point of impact on targets from 100 yards to 600 yards in 100 yards increments . So I know 2400fps as shown by Labradar is not accurate
This was even after adding the a new JK microphone - Labradar setup on a full-size tripod to right of rifle , rifle is braked, Labradar appears useless. Now I’ll try shooting under the tripod in between the legs. And I’ll do a head to head for the Magneto speed V3 that own -
Do you have access to another chronograph to validate the speed? I’d move the unit like I did, further away from the blast. I’ve not seen issues with accuracy unless it’s not reading or not set correctly. You’re on the rifle setting, right?
Did you set the trigger distance in the setup menu? Think the options are 6, 12, 18” etc….? If so, did it make a difference?
Sure did
Tom Can you add the link to the place you bought taht servo? I have an 01 excursion and the servo needs to be replaced.
It was from an ebay auction.
I bought the B7324 kit from Coleman, but it took a little while since they didn't have any in stock. Your video was an excellent instruction manual very much needed because if I had to rely on their instructions, I would have been scratching my head a lot. The install took 45 minutes like you suggested. As info, the belt installation was the most difficult step as it was a tight fit. Thanks for your video as I'm glad to have the dynamo replaced.
'Promo SM' 🌈
Did you really get 3400 fps with 220gr pills?
Ha, no, those were the FMJs I spoke about at the end of the video. They are 150gn and I use them for warmers.
lol…I had the same question! Thanks
It is quite possible that the trees to the right of your position were causing the muzzle brake discharges to swirl back, in the same way that a solid fence (as opposed to a wind-break fence with proper gaps between palings) can create significant problems with wind eddies on both sides of the fence.
I wondered if that would be an issue at the start but so far after I haven’t had any problems with the branches. I do trim the trees at least once or twice per year to keep things opened up. At this point I’ve tracked thousands of shots with my lab radar, I use it multiple times per week and I never have any issues at all.
How in the world did that happen?
The prior owner took it apart and didn’t properly line up the shaft.
Can I upgrade my alternator on my kubota b7500 with a high output too?
I have an off brand micro excavator with a kubota d722 engine- can anyone confirm weather this kit will work with the d722? I realize it probably wouldnt be plug and play but I basically just wondered if this was the correct alternator and bracketry?
Did you ever get this figured out? I'm trying to mod my mini excavator also so can keep my air conditioner going. Mines a d722 also.
Anyone know what kit to use on B2320? is it the B7311?
Hello! Great video. On your main wiring harness does it have a slow blow fuse as well near starter? I know that harness with the kit has one as well if so now you have two slow blow fuses? I could not tell from the video. Getting ready to install mine. Thank you...
Time for a new one!
I didn't even order one. I just unfroze mine by turning the metal shaft with a pair of vise grips, hit it with penetrating oil, cleaned it with electronic parts cleaner, sprayed it with lithium grease and installed it back. It works now! Thanks a lot!
