That trailer sounds like it has everything it needs! How did you like the 4rr on the track? At the beginning it’s easy to drop a lot of money on it. Once you have your set up and bike dialed in it’s not as crazy. I appreciate the prayers more than you know. Prayer is what keeps me in the game! Moments of treading water with all the medical information thrown down our throats and I’m super thankful to have passed. Im looking forward to getting airborne started at the end of the month! I’ll be stationed at Bragg and will be making time for track days during the weekend. Hope we ride together next year!

Everyone is your battle buddy. You do develop your best friends and favorites that you stick together. In basic you will go with them to the latrine(restroom) get water and such. You don’t travel around to much in basic to many areas with out a drill. Once you’re in your Barack’s you don’t need to ask anyone to go with you to the bathroom. Once you graduate and go to AIT you travel around post and off post with your battle (who will be your good friends)

Thank you for the comment! I can’t imagine what it was like during that time, a lot really has changed. There are a lot of restrictions now of what Drill Sgts. can and cannot do. There is a big range of the quality of Soldiers now. How long did you serve for?

I have had that thing for at least 10+ years and have never had any issues with it. I sweat like crazy so for me it was a must. Good observation and I think you will be very happy with it.

You put a lot of weight on your core and legs. You put some force on the handlebars to turn the bike in. You put force on turn in and then you have a loose grip on it. You don’t want to hold yourself up with the handlebars/clip ons. Hope this makes sense.

It’s okay to go on some rumble strips, these in the video were wet and that’s a dangerous combination! Some rumbles are more forgiving than others.

Very Close! This was exiting T3 on the wet curbs. It had just rained and was almost dry. The curbs were deceptive at that moment.

Corner entry and corner speed is a difficult one. Someone once told me instead of thinking of it as hard braking, think of it as setting your entry speed. Once you have some reference points for braking it really starts to build confidence. Thank you for the sub 🙏

Yes! You want to start applying the throttle as soon as possible/feel comfortable. Roll on the throttle instead of just twisting the throttle super aggressive. Feel it out, help stand the bike up on the meat of the tires by dropping your head and picking the bike up. Have a reference point for your acceleration so you know where to build off of. Use all of the track.

You mainly use your legs for the support to hand off, the arm draped over the gas tank is more of a stabilizer if that makes sense. There’s not a ton of weight on the arm. The arms want to be loose and light.

You know exactly what to do. I crashed a few times in the wet to learn. As long as you take it easy you can build from there. How did Caldwell go?!

@dabosch11 it was tanking it down with gale force winds. So I took it steady away. I have pilot road 5s on for the wet. Not the best of days weather wise, bit got a lot of confidence back, which excelled at Croft 3 weeks after in the dry. Happy days!!😁

There’s so much to learn on the track when you don’t have to focus on police, animals, road conditions not being optimal and you can focus on riding. Let me know how the riding is going!
