Any attack from a mech's left or right flank that rolls on the kick table will always hit the left or right leg of the side you attacked from. You can only put one mech on the flank of a mech, but you can also have a ground vehicle charge the mech from that side at the same time. So you can do two attacks that each target the same leg. If you have the setup this can be incredibly deadly.
Yes I'm a New World Samurai, and a redneck none the less
I miss you, NA! I hope you’re enjoying yourself and still playing BT once in a while. You’ve left us with such a wonderful wealth of knowledge and perspectives💙

Anybody else think the vent slits on one side of the head make it look like a Gundam doing the DreamWorks face?
I am back in battletech and find this chanel. Hope you are well, because its been a long time with out an update here.
The Locust 1E is a gem. I've used it to harass multiple Heavies simultaneously, leading to some heated outbursts at the table.
Lets see what the Poring has to say about my lil Catapult.
I don't get it
I'm probably violating the comments and for that I'm sorry, but I don't know how else to go about trying to find players. And sorry it's most recent video. So here goes. Is there anyone that's watched these that plays Battletech in the Denver area? More specifically near The Streets of Southglenn that is interested in playing Battletech/MechWarrior? The actual table top versions leave a comment to this post. That is if you don't mind the fact that my universe has left the cannon FASA/Catalyst Games story line. Many of the iconic personalities are involved, just story went different direction. By my own choosing that is. Thanks for the time and again sorry for possible violation.
12:56 The Jenner and Panther should logically be very easy to obtain via salvage trades or escrow exchanges with the Lyran and FedSun militaries due to their constant engagements with the Draconis Combine. One advantage of being a mercenary is that you can sniff around for items the other House militaries will want for analysis, training, or on rare occasion, for personal collections. In fact, I'd wager the Great Houses would prefer to offload salvaged mechs for which they down produce themselves. Giving mercs common mechs outside of their standard military procurement in lieu of regular payment is a good way to reduce overhead for stuff that disproportionately costs more to maintain. Though sometimes the opposite can happen: The Capellan Confederation made the Cataphract out of spare parts from the growing stockpile of spare parts their constant warring with the Federated Suns and Free Worlds League produced. And the FedSuns did the same producing the 4X variant of the Raven from the numerous units salvaged and/or seized during the Fourth Succession War. But...if the TRO and Faction charts say something is rare or exclusive, that's how it be even if it doesn't make much sense otherwise.
the affordable price and easier to learn rules which don't change every 3 years are why I left 40k for Battletech, I mainly play Classic but also like Alpha Strike
It feels kinda weird that the mold lines on the 2017 set plastics were perfectly placed, like 90% fell on the edge of a facet of armor and needed no adjustment. I wonder if it's harder to part the mold for digital sculpts.
Perhaps a bit off-topic, but your videos are of the things that got me into BattleTech, so thank you! I hope you are doing alright right now and we will see more videos in the future :>
No Whitworth?!
Please don't start every new section by yelling "OK"! Its a little jarring.
OK!
Refit it.
Love your channel, I just dont understand putting flamers on mechs as a viable variant choice.
Pass on the Wolverine all you want, but guaranteed he's already smashed your circle of friends list and they too embarrassed to tell you he left them a hot mess.
The 'Urbie' should be renamed the Scorpion. Tiny and usually unseen between buildings, rocks and sand... until it stings you with a searing pain you wont soon forget.
This is the best comprehensive guide on Battletech initiative. Very good!
6 Panthers it is then.....
For offense you need to quantify the value of weapons that do high damage to a single location. The PPC, for example, can pierce the head armor of ANY mech and even weapons like the large laser can punch through the amor of many smaller mechs. You also need to include heat dissipation capabilities. You can have all the weapons in the world but if you do kit have enough heat sinks, it will do you no good. For defense you should penalize mechs with ammunition, an ammo explosion is a death sentence for most mecha, especially light ones. You should also take mobility into account for both offense and defense. A Spider might not have much armor but if it jumps 7 hexes, your odds of hitting are very low and it can easily get into position for a rear shot. Combine that with no ammo and lasers mounted in the center torso and it is more durable than it may first appear.

These videos are real great for us new players
A lot of Clan Mechs being hilariously overgunned/undersinked makes perfect sense... for Clan honor rules, where pilots will routinely start bidding away part of their weapons for bragging rights, that is.
The way he calls me commander. 😳
Adder B : Anti air/Vehicle.
I would have smashed the Raven and the Bushwacker hard xD
When are you doing an assault-class tier list?
shut up about the Hussar! More time spent on that ugly thing than you spent on tanks... in a video about tanks.
I very much enjoy bullying light mechs in my custom phoenix hawk.
4 ML definately qualifies as a crit seeker setup. Sure it straddles the line between poking holes and getting hits.....but it's valied IMHO. It's not as heat efficient as SRMs but still.....
Surprisingly this is the same build i did on the hbs battletech and made a sheet for it. An absolute monster against lights and mediums. The only difference between our builds is that mine has two additional heat sinks to offset the medium lasers. Though I'm still not sure if I made the right call in trading the jump jets for the heatsinks.
The only thing to smash is the AC20 shell from the Hunchback smashing the cockpit and MechWarrior to a fine mist
UrbanMechs. UrbanMechs everywhere.
Is there any specific color pattern you "have to follow" or can you have a custom color/camo scheme, and is there room for fan made factions kinda like custom space marine chapters in warhammer 40k
17:29 all hail the king of Disco, mech fu never dies, lol
I love the Shadow Hawk for 200 ton jobs. It needs modified with double heatsinks and I fitted an U-AC. It feels like a much smaller mech.
If there is a mech that does the same job as a tank, which do you want? It depends. Awesome 8Q and the Schrek are both 80 ton 3/5 with 3 PPC's. The Awesome is quite a bit more durable, but it also costs about substantially more in terms of C-Bills and Battle Value, so it's fairly situational which is better. Concerning the role of a scout... You can fit 3 hovercraft and/or VTOLs into the same dropship tonage space as 2 locusts and they are cheaper. It's really hard to justify not using vehicles for scouting.
There are rules for VSTOL areospace (current) and Land Air Mechs (probably deprecated, but I didn't buy the Urbie LAM)
IIRC vehicles don't track heat.
