    I just bought this grill from Tractor Supply. I love it! It has great features, like removable aluminum drip tray that slides out for easy cleaning. It also has stainless steel burners and heat shields. Mine came with extra screws and one extra heat shield. Well worth the $220 price.

    Something about this just doesn’t seem right… Ceramic grills like a Kamado or BGE are designed to hold and consistently maintain heat vs a traditional pellet grill that consistently swings between highs and lows to trigger the mechanism to increase or decrease the temperature. I’d like to see what a long cook on one of these looks like as far as consistency in temperatures

    Bought the 2420 for a friend as a housewarming gift based on reviews at the Tractor Supply website and this one for myself after returning a Weber Spirit II that was damaged in shipping. People are going to think I'm a paid shill, but these grills are legit. I can't *believe* you're selling them so cheaply. Like, I'm even the only comment. I feel like I possess secret knowledge.

      Yes i am thinking you're a cheapass peasant, since these grills are really cheapass crap made with crap materials.... Firebox will be gone in a year... not even closely comparable to a weber or napoleon, rosters are even worse, table is unstable.. good luck, nobody wants these crap grills

  • @ndzapruder
    @ndzapruder Před 2 lety

    This thing's amazing. It's 1:1 against a Weber at less than half the price. Solid. Very well made. I expected a cool spot front and center because of the rubber stoppers on the bottom of the lid and removed them before first use -- and ironically found a very slight hot spot there instead. Don't care. I'm leaving them off and recommending this grill to everyone.

      Thanks for this feedback. I'm looking to purchase this one or the GAS1466AS. Two questions - does it always require a match to light or does the friction igniter simply require a turn of the knobs? I saw a few people note this as downside. Also, do you know if you can use soap/water or other solution to clean the grates? I was initially going for stainless grates, but it appears Even Embers website doesn't have stainless grates that are compatible with this model.

    • @ndzapruder
      @ndzapruder Před 2 lety

      @@ronniekister Happy to help! It does *not* require a match to light. My buddy has the grill featured here and I have a GAS2400AS -- each of the 4 knobs has its own independent electric ignition and we've both been using them all summer without issue. Just open the gas and then turn the knobs to ignite whichever burners you want to use. I'm curious about what caused those reviews you read to say they needed matches. The porcelain the cast iron grates are coated with is textured, but I don't see how washing them with soap and water would be any different than washing a Dutch oven. I haven't bothered hand washing because salmon and NY strip aren't very messy and that's all I've been grilling. I'll hand wash my grates this weekend and tell you how it went.

      You are the same guy who commented something similar on another video. You are just the seller.... it's 100% not equal to a weber variant. Its 100% cheaper and crappier. Firebox is cheap and very weak, grates are cheap. Burners are just below minimum standard chinese tubes. Stop putting fake bullshit on the Internet. After one year it will already degrade. Table and standard are wobbly and very unstable. Just admit you can't afford a decent grill... like Weber or Napoleon. I ran into a salesman at a box store, said that his home insurance company required an onsite inspection... had a fireplace, patio heater and shop stove. They required a certified hearth and fireplace technician inspection. Each fire device cost $200 for the inspection. Only the mason fireplace past. By the time he made the necessary changes he had spent $700. The patio heater had to have all stove pipe replaced with the male fluted end pointing down. The shop stove had HVAC tin parts requiring wood stove type A stove piping... total redo to meet clearances... bottom line. If its wrong... don't buy it. Fix it right the first time... don't go cheap. You void your home insurance by DIY and using non certified wood stove materials.
