The definition for the word grace in Greek means unmerited favor and empowerment. The father bestows his empowerment upon us through faith abling us to walk after him while also bestowing his unmerited favor upon us who believe. We can do all things through him who strengthens us. I appreciate deeply the almost throw away lines like "we cannot create peace, we've tried". A foundational statement, that if challenged would be met with a litany of defense from a wide swath of history. Don't underestimate the challenge faced and failed over multiple generations.

Right on… He owns it all and we’re accountable and will be held accountable by God.

A wrong view of God leads to God being out of the equation. Whether subtly or oblivious, we all end up with a misconstrued view of God. Every time I read the Bible, I learn something new about God that makes me realize I didn’t know Him as much as I thought I did. Knowing Him, loving Him, trusting and being obedient should be our primary focus. May the Lord be our strength.

Well said Pastor Carl. .. both, the sermon and the Bill C4 Statement comments are well thought out and so well presented with grace and conviction in the truth of God's creative design. I will pray for the leadership to fearlessly not compromise but humbly and with conviction proclaim " ' one man one woman ' so help me God, it is written so it must be done! " This was a very thoughtful consideration of this sad history recorded in 2 Samuel 13. It highlighted the consequences of King David's sin and how God's words were being fulfilled that David's family problems would be huge. So sad that David , who wrote "Oh my God, how I love your Law, " would only apply it to others, not his family.... after deeply repenting for his affair with Lady Bathsheba (good name : baby in the Bathtub ) ... one would think the King would swiftly deal with his children to prevent such a tragedy or punish it appropriately to teach his people God's way ..... but NO! Thank you for clarifying a few things for me.

We enjoyed the speaker very much.

Very good . thoughtful, informative and eye-opening ; just a bit hard for me to catch all of it . Speech is too eloquently fast but still clear and well pronounced. Thank you for giving me a new perspective on a couple of things. ( I think Job's daughters were more beautiful than this Bath Lady but then... they didn't live in David's time and he did not see them bathing either.)
