Hi! Thanks so much for your video and all your information and sharing, I was diagnosed with Cmt when I was 3 and now I am 43, everybody in my family and in the jobs I have had during my whole life I received and I am still receiving complaints of me being very slow with the things I do in my regular life and I don’t know if this is something normal on someone with cmt, I am trying to understand if this is another symptom or is something else because so far any doctor has really admitted these as another symptom of cmt but I will like to know if you are experiencing the same as me, when I cook I just take me forever I feel like my hands and my brain are not connected, I am really trying to be fast but I just feel that I can’t and everybody tells me why you can’t do the things more faster, I have two little kids and I often receive complaints about why I can’t make time to do more things with my kids because being slow it’s just consuming my time to fast and at the end of the day I just couldn’t do all that I planned to do and I feel so frustrated and I feel like I’m a bad mom for not having more time for my kids. Sorry! I just want to share my regular everyday life, is there anybody experiencing something similar?

Ive been working on increasing my overall movement throughout the day. I work from home and was becoming very sedentary. I got a walking pad so that i can hop on several times a day- no excuse that its too hot! I gave myself the permission to commit to 5 minutes at a time. I had to do this because the all or nothing side of my brain says that if i cant do a mile walk then why bother. So this way, im getting in little exercise snacks throughout the day.
Increasing fiber really is so good for our bodies. And it does require being intentional about it.
Alright, I’m challenging myself to do all of these as part of my morning routine tomorrow.

Thanks! A gallon a day (I don’t even know how much I talked about in this video) is definitely not enough to cause water poisoning, especially in a body like mine and especially since I drink electrolytes too:-)
@DivaandtheDivine Hey Brianna. I just wanted to warn you, because I have heard of a couple people dying from water poisoning. I think it was from an imbalance of their electrolytes. I'm glad to hear that you are making sure to drink electrolytes, along with your water. Have a great day. 🙂

Personally, I LOVE the idea of a midyear refresh. If it wasn't for the fact that I get really excited about Powersheets launch, I'd probably run my year from July-June to coincide with my Birthday. (I suppose I COULD get a set of Powersheets in October and save it for July....) One of the things I love about the Mediterranean diet from what I've seen is that there really are no off-limits foods. Sure, there are some sources that say that foods like sugar and red meat are not allowed at all, but most sources I've seen just say to limit those foods, eat them less often. I've been focusing on my health/wellness goals lately. I've let myself get off track with eating in a way that focuses on nourishment, and I got some bloodwork results that indicate that my habits recently are having an impact on my health. There are a couple health conditions that run in my family, and I'm determined to do what I can to reverse these numbers without relying on medication, etc. I've been experimenting with cutting out the snacks in between meals- even if it means going 6-7 hours without eating. So far, I love it. There's less mental energy required, and I feel a lot freer. I'm also taking a step back from what I used to dub "real desserts" and opting for sweet treats that have a little more nutrition (things like Clio Bars or dried fruit). I'm also doing the same thing you are with opting for a variety of plants each week (which I find pretty easy). Overall, my meals are starting to look a lot like they were at the height of my success with WW- minus the planned weekly high-point day/meal/treat. The main difference is I'm not counting or tracking points or calories. (I am using MyPlate guidelines as my meal structure most of the time). It's only been about a week of my plan and I feel pretty good. (I'm also down about 5 pounds since July 1 which is a nice bonus).
Big fan of the Mediterranean concept. It's guidelines with 0 restrictions.

Screen time is so hard and its becauae of the addictive nature of social media. You're not alone with cringe level of hours spent scrolling. Awesome to recognize it and plan how to fix it.
I know! Those app geniuses really know what they're doing. I am test driving using an app blocker to really crack down and take this seriously.

Ok if you need a recipe for a beet salad, HIT ME UP! My mom makes an amazing beet side with lime juice, olive oil, scallions, and parsley. Soooooo good!

@@DivaandtheDivineok so roast a bunch of beets and then slice them into rounds. While they’re still hot, add a bunch or olive oil, lime juice, very thinly sliced onions, tons of parsley and scallions. Then salt and a ton of black pepper. I do a whole lime but it depends how many beets you do. That’s it! You can eat it warm, cold, room temp. It’s perfection.

I love that you're talking about fiber!! I have been following Dr. Will Bulsiewicz and he's a massive advocate for biodiversity. His book is awesome!! And funnily enough, I have been counting my plants for the past 2 weeks just for funsies and I notice that if I have it in the back of my mind, it encourages me to eat more and different plants! It's actually pretty fun. I'm also trying to eat produce of every different color of the rainbow in a day. I usually miss 1 or 2 colors a day but again, it's still fun to try!
Fiber is HUGE!! It's the nutritional word for 2024 and I tell ya, it has made all the difference in how satisfying my food has been. The game of trying to eat variety is definitely a fun way to track without tracking. I've just been keeping a running list in my notes app and restarting it on Mondays. Every plant I eat gets listed once.

Just high on that diet free life!
I'm pretty sure I hit my 20-30 different plants in one day yesterday. I think it helps that, unless it's a snack or something (like the occasional breakfast), I prefer to include at least two different pieces of produce in a meal. So, when I decided to do more, it was easy to build on that. I'm sure not every day will be like that, though, but that's life. However, since I know that I'm already. ok at getting in a nice variety, my challenge is changing things from week to week. It's easy to get stuck in a rut of eating the same 20 fruits and vegetables week after week. I want to try new things and embrace more seasonal produce to get that variety. (Which means more farmer's market runs for produce instead of going to Aldi for everything). I'm also leaning more into a weight loss intention without following a specific "diet" plan. I am giving myself a bit of structure (following MyPlate Guidelines for meals whenever possible), and I'm doing a bit of a "dessert fast" where I'm focusing on nutrition in my desserts. I'm not giving up anything completely, but I do need to step back from the cookies and cake. Instead, I'm having granola bars with protein/fiber, chocolate-covered fruit and nuts, freeze-dried fruit, date and nut bars/balls, Clio bars, yogurt, maybe some dark chocolate, etc. I'm not setting any rules or timelines. I'm sure I'll end up at Crumbl at some time by August (I still haven't gotten my free Birthday cookie), but I'm hoping that taking a break from sweets and giving myself a bit more structure around them will help me get to a better place with my health/weight. I'm also figuring out things with my eating schedule/routine. Unfortunately, I don't always have the luxury of only eating when hungry, but I'm making some shifts. On days I only work until 11, I'm not always going to eat a snack at 9. I can eat lunch when I get home (unless I'm going to the gym, the I can have a snack at 11 and then lunch a couple hours later). I'm stretching out my windows between eating and allowing myself to get/feel hungry. (On days I work 6 hours and don't get a lunch but still work past 1 or 2pm, I'm going to pack my lunch and eat some of it on break and the rest after work instead of trying to figure out both lunch and snack). I always did "better" eating 3 meals and minimal snacks, so I'm going to work on getting back to that.

Love your positivity, I'm 62, and diagnosed in 2000, have worked full time for over 44 years and brought up my 2 now adult kids, and have lived alone for the last 10 years , new chapter on life, now for the last 12 months work just 3 days a week and attend the gym for 2 afternoons a week, do as much as you can every day, as now I am soooo tired .

For someone who doesn't do yellow, you keep finding the BEST yellow clothes haha. And I LOVE the lemon dress (I should; I have a little lemon straw topper on my tumbler haha). You DO look great in the right navy. I love the little silver detailing there. Wow. At first, it looked like that was a warm spring red. I don't think I would've assumed it was a summer coral red. I absolutely LOVE that shirt. I'm a sucker for a fun detail on my sleeves. If that shirt was more of a spring color, it's 100% something I would wear. Getting the shorts is basically like spending an extra $2 to hit a $25 purchase minimum needed to redeem a coupon for $5 off your purchase. Even if you don't necessarily need the $2 item, it saves you $3. It'd be silly not to grab that extra little something- even if you don't want it. I really want to try out Stitch Fix one day.
I know, it’s the strangest thing. I THINK I bleed over into autumn a bit, and I’m a dark brown summer, which means that can happen. Makes sense because I look good in olive too.

Getting mine removed tomorrow!! Im so excited. Im also so grateful to have found this video and all these womens helpful comments about their own experiences! I literally thought there was something wrong with me. I had it put in 2.5 yrs ago after the birth of my son. I gained more weight after i had him then i did in the pregnancy. I work out religiously and stay in a defecit. I cant seem to shake the last 25lbs and it took years to lose the first bit of it. My mental health suffered also after childbirth. I had PPD but now im wondering if the IUD intensified and lengthened that. Skin is awful. Today i made an appt to get it removed luckily TOMORROW after having a 4 day bout of debilitating anxiety. After hearing all this, i have some hope that im not just crazy and this could potentially be causing or at least amplifying these issues ive been having!
I don't know much about the best day at Costco, but I will say that Mondays have always been a busier day when working at grocery stores. I'm kinda sad they changed the RXBar multipack. I liked the peanut butter ones better than Blueberry. And I love the Costco Hemp hearts. I just wish the bag wasn't so big; it's just annoying to store in the fridge lol. I'm definitely someone who needs a bit of structure around my food. Even something as simple as the way I fill my lunchbox makes a HUGE difference. I don't feel restricted by the fact that I always have a vegetable, a fruit, and a sandwich for lunch. I give myself enough variety to avoid being bored, and I find that the structure actually makes things EASIER. Even on days I don't want to pack a lunch, the task is made easier because it's structured and mindless.
