This method worked on my Toshiba chromebook 2 (2014) to restore it back to stock chrome os. Chromeos Flex on my laptop was very laggy, the touchpad was out of control, and no sound whatsoever from the speakers. Find out if your chromebook or laptop is fully compatible first. My experience with Chrome os Flex was a disaster.

Tried it yesterday and it still works! The only issue was that crosh wouldn't let me accept sudo commands. I thought I was dead in the water, but it accepted the first half of the boot flags. Once I rebooted it, it installed the OS no problem.

Best video I've seen! I'm willing to do this work, but I want to be sure that it's necessary before spending more money on it. So mine currently boots to that black screen at the end where I've set a USB with as the default boot, that boot USB has a recovery on it from the recovery utility from google. but it gets to a screen and says your system is repairing, please wait and then it reboots and it does this over and over.

I've done this, all working great besides the battery. It seems like it's just missing now, chromebook only works while plugged-in now. I reversed to mrchromebox firmware and the problem persists. I think I need a stock firmware file to restore the battery function somehow. Could anyone help me? It would be extremely appreciated. Samsung chromebook 3 is the model.
