It definitely was a great spot. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Looked like a great spot too! Glad to see another one and looking forward to the next!
Thanks! I'm going to try and have a new video out every couple weeks.
Bought a KNI-CO Trecker at Bass Pro Shop for 167 dollars
So, how many hot tents do own! LOL Im looking for a not expensive set up. How do you like the firehiking? Im not to sure about it. Im looking for something that weighs max 7 lbs ish for back country hiking. I dont think this tent has dual zippers on the door which doesnt allow you to vent from the top or peek out the tent! And how about the inner? Can you exit 2 separate doors in the mesh?
Sorry for the super late response. The Firehiking 2-4 is a really packable tent. The stove, it's alright on chilly nights but not something I would bring on a -30 camp. Now I'm using a KniCo Alaskan Jr paired with a One Tigris Rock Fortress. Not good for hiking by any means but it's a roomy and cozy setup!
Thanks brother
Got Two Of Them...I Find Them A Assets To Our Campin Necessity...Agree Another Flat Lid Would Be Nice...But Storin A Gas Canister It A Plus...We Use A Slight More Powerful Burner...It Great For My Campin Needs...
Hi, what happened to your kni-co trekker stove?
I unfortunately had to sell it.
Jp sent me 😊
Welcome!
I am just starting to watch this video, but as I JUST ordered it, I am looking forward to an "honest" review
Another great production! It was great seeing another video notification!
great video!!!
Nice show I have that stove I like it it’s a good little stove thanks
Nice show the bushcraft stew looks good thanks
Thanks Willis. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Ive been considering that solowilder stove and would like to know your opinion of it.
Its very well built. It surpassed my expectations of a $200 Amazon stove. Requires a lot of stoking though due to its size but that's to be expected of a small stove. It likes to back draft a bit when the door is open but not enough to be deal breaker. Overall, if you're not looking to spend a ton of money on a brand name stove, then this is definitely the stove to buy.
Hey Patt!! This vid was sooo great! The intro was very well done I found! Very clear layout of entire trip, great tune choices to accompany the tasks! Good looking meals there to you both had! Anyways great to see you out an about! I liked this style of video! Take care! Cheers!
great video! and thank you for the oil for storage tip
Excellent review! Thanks for the video, man.
Hi, what is the size of your tarp?
It's an AquaQuest Defender 10'x10'
I love you.
Placing a ridge line on your hammock will to wonders for you setup
I'll be sure to try it next time I'm out, thanks!
@@evergreenoutdoors4651 they recommend 80% of the length of your hammock as a rule of thumb
Nice looking cook kit thanks
Just a heads up....haven't seen this posted yet, but Kni-co is now including this new one piece damper....I am really not thrilled about it...its a milled piece of steel, vs what they show on their site....the cast iron one that they used to come with....I am sure it will work, but one of the reasons I went with their stove was the quality of the damper...I guess time will tell.
Thanks for letting us know!
It's been a year since you posted that comment. Do you have an opinion on the damper yet?
@@catladycatlady7359 My trekker stove came with the new style damper. While it's easy to put in, it doesn't have much tension so adjusting it and getting it to stay where you want it is a pain. It just rotates around way too easily. I replaced mine with a 4" cast iron one like in this video and it works much better.
The most thorough review of KNI-CO Trekker can also be conferred to the rest of the line. Thanks for sharing.
I noticed a short stove pipe and large spark arrester, have you gotten any burn wholes in the tent? Or is the big spark arrester enough?
I haven't gotten any burns in it...yet lol. The arrestor works decently, it was supplied with the stove from Lure Of The North.
Great memories.... protect her from the government! Never wear a mask or consent
How often do you need to put in more wood? How often do you have to stoke the stove overnight? PS your smoke alarm “chirp” was setting me off 🤣
It has to be restoked about every hour and I have since changed my smoke alarm batteries 😂
hi patt can carv a kupilka and bucksaw
