What is all of this?
The music uploaded here are my surround sound mixes that I've created using studio multi-tracks/stems. They are unofficial mixes but many are arguably as good or better than some official surround mixes. They are technically DOWNmixes, ...I start with many tracks & mix them down into fewer tracks(ex. 24 mixdown to 6). This is the opposite of the more common unofficial UPmixes, which takes fewer tracks, like a stereo song, and then creates more tracks from that(ex. 2 UPmixed to 6).
Why do it?
Music sounds better in surround-sound & there is not enough of it. Also, there’s a lot of unimpressive mixes out there. I try & fill a bit of that void by creating unique surround sound mixes.

YouTube Channel Update - June 1 2024
Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve had to take a temporary break from mixing because my mom nearly died and I’ve been spending 12-15 hours a day with her at the hospital. This has been going on for almost 4 weeks.
The mixes that have been released every couple of days here were actually all uploaded last month (my CZcams channel runs behind my Telegram group). The last video shared was the last one “on the schedule” so there won’t be many more uploads here to CZcams in the near future. I hope I can get back to mixing soon but it may be 2 to 4 weeks, I just don’t know, it depends on my mom’s recovery.
As of today, there are about 1,700 subscribers here to my CZcams channel and around 350 members of my private Telegram group. I have hundreds of more mixes on Telegram compared to here on CZcams, many songs which have never been uploaded here because they were copyright blocked or I just haven't gotten time to do that. In my Telegram group, I also have many extra versions, full studio sessions or alternate mixes. The mixes there are lossless & available as 5.1 flac, 7.1 flac and many are also Dolby TrueHD Atmos.
I recommend that you download the Telegram app on your mobile phone and create a free account. Activate your account, then install the same app to your computer & sign-in. Then copy and paste this invite link into a web browser & “open up in Telegram”:

Thank you Daniel. We thought we were going to lose her a few times over the last 3 & 1/2 weeks. A couple of days ago she might have turned the corner though & hopefully things start improving.

The single version is 4:41, this is the album version = 9:08 released in 1973. The version that is 2mins longer wasn’t released until 1989
Now the album is out on CD-4 blu-ray.

I’ve never mixed that Elton John song because it has a wonderful official mix already. I say this because I only upload my own mixes, …everything on this channel is something that I have mixed into surround sound myself, these are my unofficial mixes, …none of them have ever been released
Oh & btw, CZcams doesn’t support Dolby Atmos, …only 5.1

I have a lot of lossy stems for more songs but no more full lossless studio sources. Some of my lossy-sourced mixes can still give me enough options for a nice mix, like Kaya, …which I think turned out pretty good so yeah I need to mix some soon, …I’ll put that on my to-do list😎

@@BeesWaxMinder I am one of the people in the group that’s trying to help you. Please just use the group to ask, it’s not efficient to use CZcams comments to help you btw. Go back to the group and read my latest suggestions. You need to list what hardware you have to work with (computers, etc) & what audio ports it has. From there, perhaps we can help with options but without knowing exactly what you have now or are willing to acquire, you’re going to get many different suggestions because there is no “one size fits all” method. It all depends on what you have to hook up to your speakers
@@5.1-surround-mixes-by-MG thanks and I appreciate your help but I was just getting messages that I must be too old and all that nonsense and I just don't have time to tolerate that kind of bigotry I did Explain all my equipment and I just think that people are too advanced than I am (which is great and I'm not complaining about that) it's just maybe they forget what it was like when they started and didn't know the answers..? I asked where can I get the audio from and I'm still waiting for the answer! There's a lot of official 5.1 out there to enjoy but I don't think the official Ziggy surround sound was all it could be so I'd love to hear someone else's take on it and of course, the idea that there could be 5.1s of Music that The original makers are reluctant to do themselves sounds like a real "holy Grail" but like the holy Grail it is far too much trouble to battle dragons ;-) Thank you for your time and keep up your sterling Work 👍
@@BeesWaxMinder the audio is there in the group you are now part of! You were sending messages in the “Discussion” section but if you look the left-side of the screen you will see other sections like “surround mixes…” Links to surround mixes” Dolby Atmos” “ music videos” etc. the whole group is filled with mixes. Many songs have 4 different files you can download: a 5.1 flac, a lossless Atmos m4a file, a lossless Atmos mkv file and a lossy Atmos mp4 file, …some songs have different mixes or versions too, like a “full session mix” “album mix” alternate vocal mix” etc. I have 1000 different files you can download, they’re in all those different sections, …just click one and browse until you find something you want. Then right-click the file and “save-as” to download it. There are many people who are in their 70s who have figured it out, …once you get used to it, it’s very very simple and extremely convenient to just click on a file, download it, and then immediately play it in surround sound.
I love 5.1 as a format but how have you managed to make your own mixes of these songs please?
I have managed to find/acquire the original multi-tracks or various stems for all the mixes here. (There’s hundreds of additional mixes in my Telegram group too)

@@5.1-surround-mixes-by-MG If you know much about Silverline surround releases, they are mostly garbage. Almost like they tried to make them bad. And the worst part is that it's a greatest hits album but then when it comes to his biggest hit, it's a live version. It made no sense to me at all. So, again, you came through where these people failed miserably. Thank you.
@@Genious. oh yeah I’m familiar with SilverLine DVDAs. After so many disappointing mixes, …I stopped seeking them out, …I suppose there are a few exceptions but just about everyone I’ve ever heard is “fake surround”.

There’s no need to post the same comment on multiple videos. Regarding your request, finding stems or multi-tracks for classical music is very rare, I will mix another 10 or 12 classical surround mixes at some point but I can’t really do requests of classical, I can only mix from whatever sources I have.
