I was fallign asleep and started dreaming that walton goggins was breaking this down for me... Crazy
Twist ? Groove dia. 20” seems a sweet spot for powder capacity consistently giving velocities with low variable.
Excellent coverage, just found by .350 search for copper bullets. While being a veteran handgun silhouette shooter ( 1973 with encouragement from Lee Jurras) 1975 first match placed with AUTO MAG. Fast forward shooting .357 and not taking down rams began developing .223/357 with T/C bull barrel reamed out to 1.5 depth with .375 dia reamer. The results were very good. I then proceeded to ream deeper to 1.6 adding more powder H110 WW296 as well as 4227. Bullets were .358 Speer rifle bullets. Practiced on home range with Rams. Hits in the high back or rump toppled the ram. Later in 1980 information about a lengthen .357 case was coming from Remington as well as work on prototyping revolver from RUGER. I decided to work on bullet construction. Bob Hayden and Steve Hornady were instrumental in making some excellent silhouette bullets for .44 and .357. I included the back story since I campaigned hard for a commemorative firearm for Bill Ruger JR. Our friend in 2018. We wanted it to be a .357 Maximum in RUGER No 1 ) Did not happen. I even called Steve Hornady about making brass. His response went passed me when he suggested reviving .357/223 iteration . Go figure. At a gathering in October 2018 I took some props to an open house. Among those items were Custom Pythons with redesigned parts wide trigger, internal stop, as well as other internal parts, Korth, Auto Mag in .41 JMP, Hawkeye .256, and assortment of custom ammo among them the .223/357 loaded rounds. Shortly after I heard about the development of the .350 legend ( not .223/357 but 9mm maximum including reduced groove diameter to include the use of .353-.355 9mm diameter ) However it was RUGER who produced the first bolt guns. Even though CMMG had all the info to prefect their AR .350 Legend, they were slow to the table as there were feeding problems. MagPul to the rescue with extended legs supporting the follower. Since we had experimented with different twist with the .357 Maximum, and settled on 14, I kept working on the twist 1/10 1/12 1/16. 1/12 with .354-.355 gave optimum accuracy with most bullet lengths and weights. I applaud your work long ago with the .350 Legend as it has in its offering more bullet weights and commercial offering than any other cartridge. Can be shot effectively out to 200 yards ( farther with experience) to take game including black bear, Elk, and deer as well as others like antelope and hogs. IN MY EXPERIENCE IT WILL ERN ITS PLACE IN THE LEGEND CARTRIDGES. LIGHT RECOIL, LIGHT WEIGHT, INEXPENSIVE TO BUY, AMMO AFFORDABLE. I owned several iterations SS, BOLT, AR, REVOLVERS ( S&W And BFR) they are all capable of 1.5 MOA some under at .75 MOA out to 200. I use 9mm dies and Lee seating die for loading. TCM powder is a sleeper powder for this cartridge. Wish list is RUGER MINI IN .350 Legend. Really appreciation your inspiration to recount this historical record. TRJM
If I have the flame perfectly pointed on the shoulder/neck, what number should I set it for annealing Lapua 6.5 PRC brass?
Just told my wife I had to go make a work phone call so I could go do this to my 1100 and not hear bitching, will report back
My factory built AR STONER 10.5" upper w/CMMG mags has run flawless
So I have a 550 casefeeder and when I stick brass in it stops…. I bought the variable kit and installed it and getting same thing…… where would you start
Does anyone happen to know where part 3 is?
Fill in the gap in front of primer slide bar, when in forward position .
Awesome thanks
This the reason why I skipped 300 blk and got 350 legend. More powerful, ammo is cheaper, and if I mixed it up with my 556, neither guns would explode.
Video is essential useless...
Nice 1911
Thanks need this done to my Model 70 Winchester super grade
Same as what I do
Stop..... your going to have a .........
Soo what else can u shoot out of a 350 legend then🧐
Buy a Frankford arsenal vibra prime
ty bro
Great review! thank you.
I called Dillon about flipped primers and they blamed it on the my autodrive running too fast and I must have bent something. Sure enough, I was having the same problem you described that the primer shuttle was traveling too far, then getting pushed back by the alignment pin. I added a small zip tie and the shuttle is now moving in just a fraction too short. I expect the tie wrap will flatten slightly over time and all will be good. Going to fire up the press this week and see the results. Thank you for making the video and sharing.

Nice grip that barely recoiled at all
Nice work, how did you know how much to tap the wedge down to get the stock completely straight?
I'm thinking trial and error. Tap it a fuzz, drop the barreled action in to check it, pull it and repeat till the desired clearance is there.
Just a dab (Uses whole bottle.) 😅
Thanks, my dumb brain had hard time to figure out which matric to use. None is the right answer ofc :'D
People call alot of commander model guns commander! It's a 4 1/4 size that is an officer model size 3 1/2 defender is 3 and the 5inch is a government patents have nothing to do with it.
In an automated process the press would be damaged with the problèm with bullet, i was not sure if i need a bullet sensor but now i think i need
Question for you, I got my Dillon rl1100 and I’m having a issue when I discharge my powder, there always some still falling out on the up stroke
What hold down die are you using for the .223?
Bought one last fall of 2023 and like what has been mentioned is the simplicity of the unit and easy adjustment from one caliber to another. Then you have the price, couldn’t justify extra cost of other models. Works! Best to all!
Mute?
I don’t understand why there needs to be a “swirl” on the mating surfaces. Ideally this seems to be best at near mirror finish, but the molds you presented have tool marks on them.
Couldn’t you just file the mag receiver instead of all your mags
Rcbs charge master fpr weighing. Lee press i see! Id say he bought a lee reloading kit
well, how about showing us the case feeder?
What trick do you use the get the tip off, if you need to replace it?
Not all 300 blk is optimised for 9 inches ,supers tend to do better in 16 inch barrels
Nice! Thanks for sharing. A zip tie is a lot less work, less intrusive, and no permanent modifications necessary with it. I don’t know anything about tapping screws but I can put a zip tie on
Just bought a 350 L Ruger Amer. Predator w/22 inch bbl. Sighted in at 50 yds for 200 (hopefully) using Win White Box 145gr. Group was 2 1/4 inches high. I had 7 shots in one ragged hole measuring 7/8 by 1/2 inch and stopped. Using a cheap Simmons scope 3-9 x 40 set at 7x. All I wanted was a deer rifle I could shoot coyotes with. I think I got it.
I wish I could come there so you could teach me. I know nothing of reloading straightwall
i can't pickup as many primers at once in my tube as you did, only 20-25 at a time, because the weight of the "already loaded" primers, makes them fall out. I have a new 550 and that slows me down. I thought about heating in squeezing the ends of the part of the tube that slips over the primers to be picked up.
Great info. What’s the large silver assembly on top of the primer station?
Who makes the bullet feeder?
All I can see is your hand.
Great video thank you! Best wishes to you
The best powder in my 222 REM 40XB-BR was H-322. Try it, you might like it. It was also the best in my Masker built Wichita 1375 in 22PPC.
I have that casting in the MP brass 4 cavity version. I just decided to give it a try in my 7.62x39 Zpap M70. Ran like a champ on top of 20.5 grains of H4895. Not a tack driver but 2 MOA consistently. I know it’s not the castings fault it’s the platform it coming out of. The AK was never meant or designed to be supremely accurate. It was designed to put lead on a target with haste in mind.
Does this still allow the bolt hold open after last round to function properly?
What really needs to be done is the ejector plunger needs to come out clean the hole put in a new ejector plunger spring and that will make the rifle kick the case out like ir should,,
