Hi Mark, I purchased the 3s without an action pod to save some cash as what I wanted more than anything was the small form factor. I hadn't realised there would be no way of charging it. I am now waiting for the quick transfer to be delivered so hoping this will solve my issues. Will the 3S be perfectly capable with this set up or do you think the action pod is needed for anything?
Great question! I have a video which should be coming out tomorrow that addresses this exact question. It’s called “ Do you need an action pod with you Go 3/3s”. Check it out for a full explanation.
@@markexploringnewstuff Thank, you great video. I just watched it but also realising I think I need the action pod to update firmware.
Thanks for the review. I’m 66 with builders fingers. So I’ll be adjusting it somewhere handy and let auto iso sort it out. Or dial in exposure comp. I just bought the stronger of the two with the mist filter. Used from eBay. If I don’t get on with it , or don’t like it, I’ll get the fixed nd’s. Which I would prefer. But the used price was a no brainer.
Glad this was helpful. Thank you for watching.
My mic still dont sound as good lol
Lol. I find lav positioning plays a key role in sound quality. Thank you for watching and sharing.

With this reader, can I change the camera settings through the app?
Yes, you can. The camera (without the Action Pod or Reader) can always wirelessly connect to the app. The reader simply adds an additional storage device and smaller charging option. Thank you for watching. Be well,
Now that is a review, explaining and showing everything easily without having to watch a 30min video. THANK YOU.

Thanks so much for the lovely review, Mark! Carol from Scotty Makes stuff 😁
Best accessories video I found, that pt12 is urgent to have, you can put light and micro…just forgot, in my opinion of course, a acessorie to duplicate the usb c , because you need one for micro and could use another one for a Powerbank?! Or have a usb c and a 3.5mm jack for a micro?! Sorry for English!
Thanks for watching. Glad to help. Be well.
thank you sir
Thank you for watching. Be well.
I agree with your analysis! Adjusting the VND filters can be quite challenging. I also noticed some color shifts in the sky. That's why I decided to return them and got the fixed Neewer ND filters instead. I'm looking forward to trying them out. Thanks for sharing your experience with the K&F Concept VND filters set!
Pablo, thanks for watching. Glad it was of value.
Thanks a lot for this video Mike! I love the mobility of a setup like this. I’m definitely gonna copy your set up and use my Sony zvf1 haha
So glad to be of assistance. Enjoy!
As a fisherman, i use polarized glasses all the time. I learnt that if you rotate phone in front of them it will change how well you see the screen. I suggest you do the same with CPL filter. I have same camera as you do and that is what i did to determine best polarization position for my filter. In my case mark has to be around 11o'clock
I agree with you totally that the filters are very difficult to adjust. I also noticed some colour changes in the sky. That is just the opinion of an amateur. So I bought some fixed K&F ND filters and am very happy with them. . Outside I mainly use the ND32. I find it to be a good all rounder.
From one amateur to another, I agree! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
Thank you!
My pleasure!
My problem is I needxone for a waterpark😮.
These will work. Enjoy.
Very informative!
Thank you!
I love my K&F VND’s. Something for you to try. The new Freewell wide angle lens and anamorphic will stack on top of the K&F.
Great VND’s, I just have fat fingers and bad vision. Lol. Thanks for the suggestion on the wide and anamorphic offerings.

Did you take this video with pocket 3 mark?
Yes, this video was recorded on Osmo Pocket 3.
Nice info 👍
Thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement.
Is it stackable?
Yes, The K&F VND’s are stackable.
Thanks
Nice 😊
Thank you for watching and sharing your impression.
Another insightful episode! Thank you Mark!
Thank you. Anything goes ……
Just curious how did you get such clear sound while being so far away from the camera?
Also to apply the 180 rule did you change the shutter speed to 1/50 or 1/60?
For audio I used the Zoom F2 Field Recorder and synced the audio in post. Given my distance from the Go 3, there was no way the internal audio would be adequate and the Go 3 does not have an external audio jack. As for speed, I shoot in 30 fps so my speed used was 1/60. Thanks so much for watching!
Is there any difference between these and dji nd filter?
I have used DJI filters in the past without issue. Both DJI and Telesin are quality glass with same installation method. The DJI ND filter set has three filters an ND8, ND16 and ND 32 at a cost of $59 US. While the Telesin ND set has 4 filters a CPL, ND8, ND16 and ND32 at a cost of $35.99 US. Got the CPL with the Telesin plus saved over $20 US, with no drop off in quality. Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
I really like your videos. Keep going !
Thank you so much for your kind words.
I've been interested in a Go 3, and the new Go 3S, to complement my DJI Pocket 3 but was never impressed by footage I've seen till today! Looked fantastic in daylight, can't decide what I thought looked better 32 or 64. Good video and hopefully see some more Go 3 videos!
Thanks so much. The Go 3 can go to a lot of places the P3 can’t because of its smaller form factor. I would do the Go 3 S if you don’t have a Go 3. The K&F ND’s are nice. Enjoy!
How about this. I’m getting ready to order the ulanzi pk06 and ran across your video.
Gotta love those CZcams metrics! Enjoy.
@@markexploringnewstuff found out I can’t get it till July 28. Got the suction mount and magic stem instead. Ohhhh I feel a video coming on 😎
That’s “magic arm”
That should produce some interesting positions for P3 filming.
Thank you! It was helpful.
Thanks so much for your kind words! Enjoy.
I got the Rode for free, does the job but will probably upgrade to a Shure SM63. Rode is a lot more susceptible to handling noise, you need to be very delicate holding it. Not ideal when working with interviewers or reporters who are focused on their job rather than the finer points of sound quality.
I haven’t experienced any handling noise with Rode Interview Pro. While, I am not familiar with the Shure SM63, I really enjoy the Sennheiser MD46 for a handheld mic. I did a video comparing the Sennheiser MD46 with the Rode Reporter. Here is link czcams.com/video/hXjQSQKBCgQ/video.htmlsi=nCuy_vk9mJPQYnUL. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for this! I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to fit everything in the dji pouch :')
Lol. Glad to help. Ulanzi recently released a slightly larger case (same form factor as original DJI case) for P3 that may also work. Stay well.

I have had Go IIs and now 3 sets of Rode Wireless Pros. I have two interview Pros now. One statement or wish you had in wanting the mic to go wireless with phone and iPad or whatever, like the DJI II, should have been phrased another way. You can still go wireless to the devices with a receiver attached. The wish, which is a good one, is connected to any device via Bluetooth without a device. I have not tried it, but can you download files on Iphone and Ipad through go central?
You cannot download file from Go 2 or Interview Pro direct on iPad or iPhone via Rode app, nor will iPad or iPhone files app see it as a drive to open. You are correct with the receiver connected that Go and Pro can connect to iPad iPhone.
@@markexploringnewstuff Oh, so even with the receiver connected, can you not download the files?
Go 2’s and Interview will work with ipad and iphone so long as Go 2 (or other compatible Rode) receiver is connected to ipad/iphone. You will be able to record (and save files) directly to any audio app on your ipad/iphone - GarageBand, Voice Memos etc. If you save an audio file directly to the “internal” memory of a Go 2 transmitter or Interview Pro transmitter and then plug the transmitter (via usb c) into the Ipad/Iphone - the Ipad/Iphone can not read the file saved on the transmitter (you need a windows or Apple computer to do that). In summary, the Ipad/Iphone will not provide access to files saved directly on the internal memory of the tramsmitter via the Files app or Rode Central app. Hope that helps.
@@fsb6724 even with the receiver connected you can not download files recorded on the transmitter directly to an ipad or iPhone

Thank you so much for your kind words.

Cheap and it works. Thanks for your kind words.
Thank you for the informative video! I was very impressed by your delivery :)
Thank you. Steven, that means a lot.
i bought 3rd part external battery and DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Battery. And I also have Rode wireless pro. But with handle it does not recognise my wireless pro mic. What to do sir ?
If the handle has a charge the USB should recognize rode wireless receiver - make sure to use a TRS to TRRS cable (black and grey ends).
Hi Mark. Between PolarPro & K&F, which one is better in term of video quality? I would love to see the side-by-side comparison.
Both are top quality! The design of the ND’s (fixed vs. variable), thickness, ease of handling and gimbal shutdown are the differences. Also, note the K&F are stackable while the Polar Pro are not. I use the Polar Pro Vivid collection daily and they are great. As I mentioned in the video, I just found the K&F more different to handle and work with. Hope that helps. Thanks for I watching.
Great video. It looks like there are issues at the 9-stop with an x-pattern emerging as well. I would say it's great up to 8-stops but 9 is not usable. I would only use the full 9-stops in a timelapse type of scenario anyway and I'd probably buy a dedicated filter for that if needed. They are harder to get off of the gimbal though. I have just enough fingernail to get them off fairly easily and to adjust but that is a good point about those who may have issues with that or eyesight, although I don't personally find them any more difficult to see than some of the settings on that tiny osmo pocket screen. I'm 48 and am nearsighted and have to pull my glasses up a lot to see things up close so I get it. If found out they are also stackable with the K&F black diffusion filter. With that setup, the gimbal will not close so it works like the other filters. They're difficult to separate once you stack them though.
I agree with the 9 stop. I forgot to mention they are stackable. Wish my eyes were better and nails were longer. Lol.
@@markexploringnewstuff just not too long. Lol

Thanks - lol
Great video and helped me make my decision for an upcoming conference podcast tour where I have concerns that my Zoom H5 with it's default mic (as great as it is) will pick up too much background noise on the table between myself and guests. My plan is to run the Sennheiser into the recorder as a second mic so that my editor has a choice of audio to use.
Glad to be of assistance. Thank you for batching.
Does this leave noise on XLR mics?
Derek, I have not experienced any noise. Thanks for watching.

Just trying to dress things up a little. Playing catch up a lot. Lol
This is the information a lot of New P3 need. Great info. So an 5 stop is an ND 32
Thanks for your kind words Phil. Yes, a 5 stop is an ND32. You’re the one that inspired me to check these K&F ND’s out!
