Baja No Pinch Tire Tool 2020 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S

Using a Baja No Pinch Tire Tool to get the worst part of the bead over the rim. Tire is a MotoZ Tractionator GPS, for a 2020 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S. The trick is to use irons to push the bead on the opposite sides into the center of the rim before you use the tool to push the tight part of the bead over the rim. My Triumph Dealer want Over 300 pounds to do this service
Keep your receipts, document your service mileage. If you come up on a warranty item, you'll need to demonstrate that you have done the required maintenance.
@KenWoods question so my bike is 4 months odd but hasn't hit 1000km yet should I wait for the service light to come on at 1000km or do I have to do it based on time instead I think manual service 1 month or 1000km whichever comes first just don't want to void warranty due to time
@FunWithAJ I would recommend (based on conversations with my dealer) that your 1st service be done within 6 months or 1,000kms.

Do the panniers come with the lock cylinders, or did you have to buy them separately?
You have to buy them separately. Two for the case lid, and one for the mount, 6 in total.

Hey Ken. I bought my ktm 2020 1290 sar with side cases already on it. I want to remove them and leave the top case on only when I go off roading. Are there nuts on the backside of the screws going into the tail section?
I don't have a top case. I'm not sure.
Going get this done tomorrow as I need to polish the rim its very dull.
You don't need to remove the calipers to take the wheel off.
I find it makes it easier to reinstall.
@ryker4124: That depends on the tire. If you're running a 150 front tire, then you're going to have a hell of a time getting the wheel out, since the brake calipers are in the way. Removing at least one of them is going to make life much easier.
is there a oil level window ?
No, there is a dipstick on the oil cap.

How would I just take my front fender off so I can paint it?
Wheel and brake off, then undo the fender bolts. Use pliers to pinch the plastic clips from the brake lines, but be gentle, they are fragile.

Hey Ken, thanks for the helpful video! I'd like to correct something you've stated about the plugs though - in the Owner's Handbook, according to the diagram in the 'Maintenance and Adjustment, Oil and Oil Filter Change' section (page 65 in mine, for a 2017), I believe you have confused/reversed the oil tank drain plug with the front sump drain plug... I only want to bring this to everyone's attention since the crush washers are different sizes for some of the plugs (Qty. 2 of one size, and Qty. 1 of a different size). I'm not how important the order of removal is as long as all 3 plugs are removed during the oil change and the correct washers are used, but the manual does state to remove the oil tank drain plug first. Also, if we're going by specs, the oil filter only needs to be tightened to 7 lbf ft (10 Nm), but I'd agree with you that hand-tight is sufficient for most. Cheers!
