      You may have the answer now since you asked two years ago, but if you don't: The ground-mount monitor was used to prevent the flame from igniting anything down wind. We called it a rooster tail in the Alberta department to which I belonged, and its purpose is to put up a water spray between a burning structure and other materials (trees, structures, vehicles, etc) that could ignite. Hope that's clear. And, you asked an excellent question. 🙂

    So, if you happen to take the wrong exit, you have no way to easily get right back on? You HAVE to turn right or left and then find someplace to turn around?

    • @TheCityofWaukee
      @TheCityofWaukee Před 8 lety

      +brianvanh That is correct, in order to achieve the level of traffic efficiency that the Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) has there is no way for a motorist who exits the interstate by mistake to directly enter the interstate again. The motorist will have to travel north or south along Grand Prairie Parkway to find a safe location to turn around and re-enter the interstate. There will be signalized intersections immediately north and south of the interchange that will provide a location for motorists to turn around and re-enter the roadway. This situation is common on urban interchanges, and is similar to the interchange at Jordan Creek Parkway and Interstate 80 as well as Mills Civic Parkway and Interstate 35.

    • @shamrocm
      @shamrocm Před 8 lety

      If you find yourself getting off at the wrong interchange, merely keep to the left and bear left. It will put you right back on the Interstate going back to where you just came from. Go to the next exit, get off and get back on and try it again..
