This video was excellent. I’m signing a modeling contract soon and it’s been tough realizing that there won’t be a crowd of people cheering me on lol. I made a list of ways I can celebrate alone today while spending little to no money. I am so mind-blown, I've never thought of being inclusive as part of people-pleasing but upon reflecting, I think this has been the case for me. This has not come at a more relevant time omg. Recently, I just got hacked and scammed on my social media and I think I was way too gullible and it was because I was too nice and friendly and inclusive to everyone. My brain somehow always manages to make me think we're closer than we really are, which makes me very much so nice to people in general. Similar to what you said, I'm always the first to say thank you, the one to say hello, and come in with a smile, the one who overthinks and overapologizes, and ofc the one who is often left in "read" by people, which hurts me haha. In any case, I needed this thank you very much.

I Love being friendly with people but they are only nice when I seem mean. This is so backwards to me but this is releavnt and truthful video. sad but true because most beautiful people I know myself included are so nice inside and out but you can't live like that sadly.

Agree 100%. I’m working on this as you speak!! I’ve become a lot less accessible to people: I’ve learned numerous times that being overly friendly, accommodating, works against you and causes a lot of disrespect and betrayal. As you said make people work for it. I’m naturally very friendly,outgoing and bubbly but I’ve realized it makes people deem you as an easy target who is desperate for people to like them.

The way I see it is like the movie, "Memoirs of a Geyshia." Imagine being that in those times, being Asian with blue eyes. People, just wouldn't know how to deal! Your frightening, yet beautiful, haunting, alluring, and mysterious. Now, imagine being on the other side, wouldn't you be a little jealous but also amazed at someone SO UNIQUE? People are stunned by that beauty. So, next time you go down instagram, and see mimic exoticals, and even celebrities do it, (yeah, I know it can be annoying, and down right traumatizing and dehumanizing.) Suddenly they're all mixed and just so happen to have your phenotype, just because its "in" and "its cool" and "its trend" or "trending" with disregards to your feelings, but just try to understand, they see you as the blue-eyed geyshia in their story. They can imitate the cover but not the contents.
