Today, the girlfriend and I took a trip up to Somers, Connecticut, to visit Shenipsit State Forest. We drove to the top of Soapstone Mountain and hiked up to the fire watch tower and we got to see Northern Connecticut's fall foliage. Later on we hit some trails in my Tacoma to end the day!

Fantastic video! My 4Runner is aching to go off road and finding spots in CT has been difficult to say the least. Do you know of a website or other resource that would nail down where trails are located? I see this one on Google Maps thanks to the reply below, it'd be fantastic to know about more of them.
I’ve used google maps. Lots of trial and error lol there are lots of places near Haddam. Also try and look into the north west part of the state.
Nice Video!, I moved to Stratford last summer I miss all the woods trail I use to have back home. If you have any recommendations for trails like this Id love to hear about them.

Thanks for putting this out…just recently moved to CT. Was this at one of the state parks? Is there an entrance or road name?
It is just south of Cockaponset State forest. There are multiple entrances consisting of many different trails.

Enter from Mottland Rd/ Beaver MeadowRd. It will take you through Haddam/Killingworth/Chester
I recommend going after heavy rain for the most fun lol
