Gorgeous
Thank you.
Wow
Thanks for watching.
Germinating them seems harder than the annual varieties.
They need light and moisture to germinate. Best sown and pressed into moist soil and not covered. Also, the seeds can be sprinkled onto a damp paper towel, put into a zip lock bag, and then stored on top of the refrigerator until they germinate.
Need a Starbucks in Grants N.M.
Try Mt. Taylor Coffee Co.
Thx for taking videos of New Mexico.
It is my pleasure. We love New Mexico.
What are you doing their ?
Passing through only.. My sister used to live there.
Those are some beautiful birds.
I think so too!
Went right by Sparky's, didn't even turn the camera to the left...
Didn't know about Sparky's. What is it?
A very famous, and quite funky restaurant, it's to the left of your thumbnail. Just google Sparky's and Hatch, it'll come straight up. 115 Franklin St, Hatch, NM 87937
@robertstout6980 Thanks, next time I am there, I will have to try the world famous green chile cheeseburger.
Looks like a nice place.
It is!

Where was this by that’s awesome
Near Ramah, NM
Coopers Hawk.
We had a nesting pair for quite a few years, and I'm not sure what happened to them. I noticed that hummingbirds also nested here more during that time frame.
Parabéns trabalho perfeito
Thank you.
I really enjoyed seeing your Singer 66 Red Eye. She is beautiful! I too have one and I just love her. I believe she is a 1927 and has been very lovingly used. She doesn’t have her shine and she is missing part of her decals, but she is beautiful to me.❤Would you be able to tell me what kind/number of the needle I would need for her. She only came with the one. I would just be sewing with cotton fabric and I am hoping to be able to make a small quilt with her.
The Singer 66 takes a class 66 bobbin and a 15x1 needle. Singer recommends that you use only genuine Singer sewing machine needles in your Singer sewing machine. By using genuine singer needles, your machine will perform to its fullest potential. Sizes Available/Size Guide: Size 70/9 - For sheer knits and synthetics (the thinnest needle for the thinnest fabrics) Size 80/11 - For lightweight knits and synthetics Size 90/14 - For medium-weight knits and synthetics (the general purpose needle - most popular) Size 100/16 - For heavy-weight natural woven fabrics Size 110/18 - For heavy-weight knits and synthetics (the thickest needle for your thickest fabrics)
Singer machine needles are a universal fitting (sometimes called flat sided needles, 15x1, 130/705 H, HAx1, 2045, 2020 are all the same needle fitting) and are made to fit all sewing machine brands Singer, Brother Janome, Bernina, Pfaff, Husqvarna, Elna, Toyota and others.
So this must show the route to Albuquerque.
It shows part of Insterstate 40, which goes through Albuquerque.
@@robertsmith2419 Ah, yes, I know. Kinda obvious.
Looks a lot likeGallup, which is a real shithole, only larger.
Recommend to anyone who lived in Grants, Milam or McKinley County since 1950 have themselves checked out for cancer or other effects of radiation injuries from the old uranium mining there. Higher than normal rates of cancer and thyroid diseases exist in those areas. Many people have died over the years from that exposure that, for the most part, was ignored. People who stood up to the mining businesses were marginalized or harassed out of the town. However, that has changed some and people are starting to stand up to them. Might be too little too late.
Does buganvillea survive the winter in New Mexico? Or do you bring it inside for the winter?
We bring it into our sunroom during the winter. We have experienced temperatures as low as -16 degrees Fahrenheit. The sunroom doesn't drop below 40 degrees. Bougainvillea does survive outside in New Mexico at 150 miles farther south of Albuquerque.
Hello Sir. I like Your Video. Can I Talk to you Personally?
How can I help you?
I live here but it’s very dry we barely get any rain
Get lots of wind instead.
Thank you for sharing! I subscribed.
Thanks for subbing!
I wish there was sound.
Rules, it seems strange that you can make a video of a town where everything in it was created by someone else. You can't make a video in a National Park where everything was created by God and put it on CZcams without getting a license. You can't include copyrighted music without a license. You can play CZcams music in the backgroud all day long, but it stops playing in the background if you start a CZcams video unless you use two different devices to play each one, which is what I do, I just turn the volume down on the video and listen to music I like on my earbuds. Some people don't like the music that is available for free, some prefer nothing at all. The video had sound that I took out, the sound of the engine, and the sound of the radio playing copyrighted music for which I had no license.
Looks awesome ! Any details you can share? Rough dimensions? Wood type? Your sheathing choice?
The floor is 8' x 10'. We used zip panels with board and batten over that. The wood came from Wallatowa (Jemez Pueblo, NM). Mostly Ponderosa Pine with some Douglas Fir. I drew the plans with Sketch Up (the free version with a timber frame plug in). My laptop crashed, so I no longer have the plans and don't remember all of the dimensions.
On second thought, I believed it was 8 x 12. No permits are required here if under 120 square feet.
Nice, thank you. ‘a timber frame plug in for Sketch Up’, interesting.
@user-ul8ow1xc5q You're welcome. Sketch Up is no longer free, and neither is the timber frame rubies written by Clark Bremmer. It was a pretty steep learning curve, but plenty of CZcams videos were available at the time. Most are now outdated, and the instructions are no longer valid. The last time I checked, Sketch Up was expensive, and the company that bought it from Google was discouraging third-party plug-ins. I think Clark now sells his ruby script for $20.00 along with an instruction booklet. It all worked well for me, and I doubt if I could have done it otherwise.

Hi Robert, how were the roads headed up there? The property that the generator building sits on will soon be up for sale if you know anyone interested! 100+ acres.
We drove the side by sides through El Valle Largo and the roads had been recently graded by a rancher who had got a new lease on grazing rights, so they were in decent shape. The road up to the tower is steep but okay. I am not sure where the generator is located.
@@robertsmith2419 The generator building is white and Orange and is in your video near the lookout tower. 61 painted on the roof. Thank you for replying!
We definitely love our small town
We enjoyed our visit, and we will be going through there again next month.
Thank you for the video. I noticed you used a lit if mortis and tennon joinery. Would half-laps have worked as well? Half-laps seem easier, but your work looks great and seems stronger, maybe.
Thank you for the comment. Mortises are more difficult to make without a mortising machine but I do believe it to be stronger as green wood tends to warp and twist. This twisting locks the tenons in a mortise fairly tight.
@@robertsmith2419 oh that makes perfect sense. Thank you!

I have an 87 Rockwood that I would love to repaint. ✌️❤️🇺🇸

Oh my. That's my yard. We lived at 9907B Mississippi Street. We must have moved away not long before you moved into 9907A Mississippi Street. We had just left for Kadena AB, and you had recently returned from Kadena AB. Looks like you posted this video just a few weeks ago. Today I just happened to do a random search of Oscoda on your tube and, eureka!
Small world, isn't it? Did you happen to move into our old compound in Kadena Circle?
Amazing work looks awesome.
Thank you Scott.

In 1971 I was 8 and living in Dallas, Texas. One of the best years of my life.
Then you are the same age as our oldest son, the one riding the motorcycle in this video. In 1960 my wife and I lived in Austin, Texas, the first year we were married.
Beautiful countryside 👍🖐️
Thank you.
The best ever, bar none. Proven Winners Super Vista Supertunia Bubblegum. They make at least five varieties of this plant now, but Bubblegum is the best of the best, to me. One plant grew 3 x 3 in the ground. NO deadheading. Had to shear it back from the walk and from surrounding plants. Fed it once, when I put it in the ground. It produces continual flowers all over the plant for the whole season. Again, NO DEADHEADING.
Thank you for the comment. Glad to hear no deadheading is required.
Thank you love old home footage!!!
Glad you enjoyed it.
I love animals❤
Thats great.👍
This music is annoying at best and completely inappropriate for history.
Thank you for the comment. I am sorry you didn't like the music. If you can provide some free historicaly correct music I would be glad to replace it. A small unpaid CZcams channel has to use what is provided by CZcams because of copyright laws and royalty fees.

Thank you Florjavi.
The individual little floweretts look like for-get-me-nots. Are they hydrangeas? 💕❣️
The Butterfly Bush (Buddleia davidii) is a perennial shrub. It grows well in warmer climates. It produces a lot of fragrant flowers with abundant nectar, extremely attractive to pollinators.
That looks great! I’m also about to build a timber frame in New Mexico!
Did you use ponderosa pine?
Yes, my son and I got the timbers from Wallatowa, the Jemez Pueblo sawmill. There may have been other species as well. I spent most of July cutting mortises and tenons. There was some warping, but we pulled the timbers into place with chains and turnbuckles. I uploaded a regular video, but it seems shorts are all people watch. I have 2 more shorts to upload. We were experimenting with the shed.
I will try and answers any questions you might have.
@@robertsmith2419 thank you so much! I had gotten an estimate from spotted owl in Santa Fe but I just sent the saw mill in Jemez a request for an estimate as well. I’ll keep my eyes out for all your videos about how it goes!! Thanks so much for sharing!
Great, I hope they do you right. I had gotten estimates from the mill in Santa Fe and the one down around Cloudcroft. I don't remember their names, only that their estimates were twice as much as Wallatowa. Good luck with your project.
