    • @SAL_PIXIE
      @SAL_PIXIE Před 25 dny

      SFI technology cannot fit int the base of that type of lamp. Unfortunately a lot of those LED lamps, with their limited space for driver circuitry provide very poor dimming compatibility, especially when compared to SFI. There's limited solution to fix flickering of screw-in lamps - perhaps an filter installed at your electrical distribution board will help if you are having issue in your home with lamps flickering.

    Hi Simon, I intend to install and use a Pixie Smart Dimmer SDD350BT G2 with the Android Pixie Plus app to set a ceiling-mounted track light in my room to activate itself, then brighten from 0 to 100% brightness over a 30-min period each morning. This is all I want the light to do beyond being turned on and off manually at the wall. Is that the minimum of tech I can use to do this? Ie, is this use case within the capabilities of the SDD350BT G2 and the Pixie Plus app? Your advice appreciated.

    • @SAL_PIXIE
      @SAL_PIXIE Před 10 měsíci

      HI there, the G2 dimmer does not have the fade rate capability only the Gen3 dimmer. Once you have this and PIXIE PLUS, its possible to schedule the scene with a fade rate.

    I was playing around with the newly released smart sensor. I have it under my bathroom vanity and was playing around with some settings. Basically want it to turn on the LED strip under the vanity to 100% when I walk in, but after 9:00 I want it to turn on at only 1%. All this is doable, however, I only want it to turn on for say 3 minutes. I can achieve this if I connect the LED strip to the output terminals on the sensor, but if I do that when it turns on the LED strip, it fires it up at 100% for a second, then drops down to the desired 1%. If I just connect the sensor to the hard active and have it trigger the LED strip, it will work as desired (turn it on after 9:00 to 1%), but it leaves it permanently on, and not for the 3 minutes. Is there something I'm missing, or is a timed scene something that might be available in future updates? I can see that also being a great option, say having the smart sensor in the driveway turn on the garden lights and front door light for 5 minutes if triggered after 8pm, or a smart sensor in the hallway turning on hallway and kitchen lights to 1% for 5 minutes if triggers after 9pm.

    • @SAL_PIXIE
      @SAL_PIXIE Před 10 měsíci

      Have the LED strip permanently powered. To control if from the wall use a Multifunction controller (on off dim up dim down). Next install the sensor BUT do not connect it to the load ( LED strip controller) - instead create 2 PROGRAMs using program mode 1) for when the sensor detects motion AND recall a SCENE to the LED strip. 2) when the sensor switches off - Set the timeout in the sensor to 3 minutes :)

    Hi , I’m liking the pixie gear but have a few gripes with the hardware. I installed a pixie blind controller today and it gets messy having to run power to both sides of the the controller. For future versions you should have a pass through switch to supply the relays power. Also the bell press screws are too small for an electricians screw driver. Also for future versions of your smart switches screws on the switch instead of x2 wires would be better. Massive PITA trying to fit connectors as well as the switch inside a wall box.

    • @SAL_PIXIE
      @SAL_PIXIE Před 10 měsíci

      Thanks for the comments - to answer your last comment first - 2 wires is the best way to make this form factor, our older FATTER versions had terminals making them too fat and / or too long for the majority of installations over 3 gang plates sizes. These are here to stay for now based on market requirements. The Blind and signal controller has been out for a while now and take on board your comments re screw size and cabling - It does provide a level of flexibility with respects to the number of different device it can be controlled and wired to control - but it is a common comment re wiring. Thanks for the feedback!

    thanks for the update. I've just started experimenting with the programming options when not using the sensor. I set up an all-off on the stair lights after a certain time in programming when heading up to bed. I liked your idea of the run-on timer for the fan in the bathroom. Could you please suggest other options for programming that I can introduce to customers?

    • @SAL_PIXIE
      @SAL_PIXIE Před 10 měsíci

      Install a dimmer in a hallway which has bedrooms running of it .Also install a SENSOR in the hallway but do not connect it to the load - it will just detect motion and send off a command - Create a schedule from between 10pm and 6am for example, IF motion is detected during this time period, then turn the hallway dimmer on to 10% only so you dont blinded by the lights at full!

    @MTBingAndrew Před 11 měsíci

    I don’t really know why this is a primary device, apart from being able to replace an existing sensor but it really doesn’t bring anything to the table as a pixie device. What I’d like to see is a secondary device that is a lux and temp sensor. Ideal battery powered

      @SAL_PIXIE Před 11 měsíci

      On the to do list...

    • @SAL_PIXIE
      @SAL_PIXIE Před 11 měsíci

      A secondary device doesn’t show in the app, which means, if this sensor is a secondary device, you are not able to know which sensor was triggered, neither can you setup what sensor will trigger what product in the new Program module. Considering the safety characteristic in sensors, we decided to make the first PIXIE sensors as master. As a master device, the user can easily identify and configure the sensor in the App, manage the working modes of the sensor, and set up programs smoothly.
