Formed in the year 2017, Men Aloho is a group of male singers from various Malankara Orthodox Churches in Chennai, who share a love for Gospel and Liturgical music. The group is regularly invited to sing at Weddings, Baptism ceremonies and other events.
With a unique blend of voices, Men Aloho makes good use of Western harmony through part singing, although the focus of their musical style remain predominantly Indian i.e a strong melody line, the slurs and lyrical clarity, while for the liturgies they focus on preserving the original Eastern Syrian tunes.
Men Aloho is a Syriac phrase which means "From God".
