Hi, Can there be a saturation issue with this business? How many Paternity centers in the local area can make it too many? For it to still be profitable. I'm showing at least 4-6 other paternity testing centers in the immediate area. Is it still worth doing this business? Thank you
I’m actually going to make a video on that pretty soon. At a certain point, yes, there can only be so many paternity centers at once. However, over a period of time only a few will remain. My goal is to teach those how to build a business with true staying power, well after the DNA business wave ends.

My why... To have time freedom and money to actually enjoy life. Maybe even travel. And to set up my Daughter and grandchild so they don't have to struggle quite so hard. Some questions... What tests does Medicaid and or Medicare cover? Private insurance? How does outsourcing the tests work?
Hey there! Insurance does not cover paternity testing at all, since it is not medically necessary. All clients pay out of pocket, or if they have FSA/HSA cards, they could use that. Outsourcing is something I go into in my course, because it’s a special strategy.

@Paternity University. Good Afternoon Mr. Banks. Would you mind sharing... What kind of payment/compensation arrangement have you created for your VA (who apparently resides in NYC)? It seems like a straight hourly wage is illogical during the start-up phase of this business (when there is no predictable pattern to when incoming calls will surge during the day or week). So what is the fair arrangement (or "formula") that you worked out with your contracted VA?
Hello, that’s a great question! My VA and I negotiated a fair flat fee of $$$ per month + a tiered commission structure. So for example, I would pay her $500 per month as a flat fee, and she would also get 10% of every sale paid at the end of the month as a separate payment. Hope that helps!

How much do collectors charge? That’s what I’m having a hard time figuring out. I want to be a collector for urine and mouth swabs but not sure what to tell labs my price is
Collectors generally charge $30-$50 per tested party for mouth swabs, but there isn’t a set rule. Call mobile phlebotomists in your area to get a gauge on pricing, then set your prices to be competitive.

I don’t have any students in the Connecticut area, but the only state that has very clear guidelines against direct consumer paternity testing is New York State. For Connecticut you should be good to go, I haven’t heard anything crazy about there.

For certification, look up your local certified phlebotomy training schools. You will take a national exam afterwards, and then you'll be certified.

@@gerryclemonsii Yes, as long as you run it well and adhere to your city laws. I have a couple of students in California that are doing well. The one thing that deters a lot of people is the California business set up laws. If you can get past that and offer the service the way that I teach it, you can’t lose. As long as you are patient.

How do you find a lab?
Hello! You could search paternity testing labs on Google and try to partner with them, but more than likely you’ll be heading in the wrong direction. However, in my course, I break down exactly what labs to reach out to and how the partnership process goes. It saves you months of trying to figure everything out.
