The reason I dropped the money is because I wanted to otherwise I'd have gone for the i7 14700K and call it a day as for the RX 7900 XTX I'm not fine with nvidia's melting connectors so I decided to go AMD for gpu this time. Anyway if it works for you and you are fine with what you are using I'm fine as well.

True the game still needs optimization.

Game also seems to favour nVidia a bit - my 4080 Super mostly holds 120+ FPS at 1440p using ultra settings with a 14700K. Some planets also are harder on the hardware than others.

All ultra except shadows. Settings are also shown in the beginning of the video after I land on the planet.

Not really I'm using turbo boost offsets on the CPU

Unfortunately no since I've uninstalled the game and deleted the reshade config for it a long time ago :(

I'm running tons of 4K addons and particle effects so it's normal to have fps drop. and also I'm running on max settings in 1440p

@@Misha1362 If I want to get better ram I have to switch to the Z790 platform otherwise I'm not gonna see big benefits so I'm fine with the current memory I have

@@Iwan0129 memory does not need to be changed, timings change regardless of the motherboard, you need to reduce at least the first cl40 timing to the ideal cl30 or a little more

@@Misha1362 I know but I haven't played with memory timings yet and I dont think the benefits will be worth it for my current platform.

Make sure you have 3 power cables as the card requires 3 8 pin pcie power cables and that your psu is rated for 800W

@@Iwan0129huh? Not talking about my upcoming build. I’ve been using an RTX 2070 laptop until I can get my PC built. I’m pretty sure that this MSI GL65 Leopard can run this no problem at 1440p. As my current monitor is a budget 32” 2560x1440p @165Hz with both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium for VRR.

Nice you wont make a mistake by getting one of these unlike nvidia where you have to pray that the power connector is in tact and that the cable didn't move out after you plugged it in and moved the case because this will melt the connector overtime and can cause fire as well. That's the reason I didn't go with 4090 as having the risk of fire or fried power connector is ridiculous for the price it costs.

@@Iwan0129I’m also not spending $2000 for only about 40% more performance when I can get very similar performance for half the cost. I’m a value shopper, not a stupid one lol

@@Kyleplier It's not even 40% if we are talking about raw performance as both cards trade blows. The only place AMD is lacking is in ray tracing whereas nvidia's software UI is windows XP level in 2023 which is unacceptable for this much $$$$.

​@@pivotmaster351there definition of hard is just stupid doing this with a controller is infuriatingly hard plus we've been asking for actual endgame content for what almost 10yrs now and haven't had anything worthwhile added hell even steel path is dumb back in my day we'd do survivals for 6hrs and fight level 1k plus enemies now a lvl 40 in the fracture event can 2 tap me lol

Very rarely due to OBS or the OC + undervolt I've applied to the GPU.
