Concrete Trellis Posts For Hop Yards | Harvest Pillar
When Nick Sciabica and his family decided to start a brewery, they knew they wanted to grow their own hops.
And why not? They have successfully grown grapes and olives in Modesto, California for nearly 100 years.
But, a new crop means a new trellis system. They had experience with wood but weren't fans of the short lifespan. They looked into steel but were concerned it could rust out at the bottom in their farm's soft soil.
Finding a trellis system that checked all their boxes seemed like a tall task.
It appeared near impossible to find a trellis post with heights up to 24 feet, extreme longevity, and loads of accessories that make hop binding simple.
Until they discovered Harvest Pillar by Jensen Precast.
Harvest Pillar is the first concrete trellis post manufactured in the United States. They are durable, strong, tall, and most important to Nick, extremely long-lasting.
Now, Nick Sciabica and his family have a trellis system they can pass down to the next generation of farmers in the family.

When Tropical Storm Hillary slowly climbed up California in August of 2023, it left a wake of devastation in its path. Flooding agricultural fields, refilling ancient lake beds, damaging essential infrastructure, overwhelming stormwater systems, and even claiming lives. Oak Glen, a small town nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains was hit particularly hard. A deluge of rain ov...

Underneath The Sphere at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada lies a precast concrete HVAC system that keeps fresh air circulating in the new 875,000 sq. ft. mega venue. But, precast concrete wasn't the first choice, fiberglass was. Due to supply chain issues and job site concerns, The Sphere's design team needed to pivot, so they contacted Jensen Precast. Baby TeSla kingDom Hello 🙏💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Interested in a small scale installation, Southern Idaho. Do you have any materials on the recommended installation procedure?
Hello @marksailer4289, thank you for commenting. We don't have any material on the recommended installation procedure yet, but Harvest Pillar is typically installed in one of two ways. There's the traditional style where you bore a hole then insert the post and there's the vibratory style where you utilize a vibratory driver to drive them into the ground. We should have material explaining the installation process in the future. In the meantime, if you have any more questions please go to harvestpillar.com or call (559) 248-0270.
How are the ends finished? A smear of mortar?

Here in Central Florida we have threats of incoming hurricanes, but mainly tornadoes and just storm winds. Overall people need something solid to just walk into in a moments notice nothing to grant just your basic square concrete shelter you could run in there with your pets above ground. I don’t think a tornado would move it. You guys could be very very rich.!
That's my son!!!!
That'd be super cool in the Puyallup location that flying bucket jus Abt took my head off multiple times🤣🤣🤣🤣
So beautiful
That's awesome. I want to stack three of them for a house!
What would a 8 foot wide 8 foot wide and 25 feet long underground shelter cost me?
How can I obtain a copy of the excel file?
Hello Sir, Could me about this concrete seal joint box material name? thanks you!
Hurts my ears to hear you constantly calling shiplap tongue and groove.
Hi. This video was very helpful to understand the joints between 2 Precast Boxes. Can you please help me with the details of the sealent that is used between the joints of PB. Please Anand (+91 9152003652)

Good job ...success for your life and your team work
this didnt help.
I wonder how much it would cost to have a 32'x40' concrete bunker poured.
This might sound crazy but if you were to sit one in the Arizona desert where it's too hard to dig, build rooms inside and close the ends, you could bury it in dirt for insulation and have a very well insulated home that would be ideal for off grid living.
This is my plan.
I was thinking a similar idea in Michigan
Can these be burried as a bunker?
May I ask how many half section box culvert were there and how long they take you to install?
I like exploring those more than circular culverts.
Would be cool to use these in earth ship design somehow.
Ideal for building a tiny house, two of those and you have a super structure. Of course, it depends on the price of the culvert. If used above ground then some cost can be cut with less engineering. As is, that would make for a great underground bunker.
thanks for shearing viduo
How about pre ported footings, San need wall an top 60 ft tall, 300ft wife 900ft long 10” concert on top w/ 8ft of dirt on top of that. ! can you come up with something .! So how much does one of these culverts cost? like on of those units at 0.30?
54jb3r7 I contacted a company who manufacture these type of culverts and it all depends on how many are needed for a project (a building company typically wouldn’t buy just one, which the more you buy the price per culvert would go down), the size of the piece, specific material construction and how thick the walls are, it’s not as simple as “how much does one culvert cost?”. For a single piece of 2 metre square culvert and less than 2 metres long, it could upwards of £8,000
@@james-r Over here we have a 36 foot wide 1.16 kilometre long culvert in which it’s river has outgrown it. Judging by if we get a 50 to 60 foot wide culvert then it it’s 10,000 metre would cost around 11 million dollars. Which is a scam because it only costed 7 million dollars when it was installed back in 1973. It is of extreme construction and some of the walls look like new
I hope no engineer would place the outflow to leave the vault half full. No one cares about plastic bottles.....
Engineers>CZcams educated.
im that engineer, i also take fat shits inside the stormvaults on the occasions i work near one.

3:01... that idiot almost got fucked off. Crane operator and spotter should be fired.
what is the purpose of having that white floating thing near the right side of the chamber? is it to help prevent like plastic bottles to jam at the outlet?

How deep in the ground can you put them
my question exactly. I would be interested in concrete underground shelter/bunker.
Me too
I want to be at lest 60ft down an 4 times wider an 100 ft or more long
Imagine stacking them.

Thanks for the concepts you have shared here.
