What touched me most was the fact that you were sick, but had to risk that just to play because according to you, Nigerians showed you love at the Sheraton Hotel wishing you well. I could see a high level of patriotism and passion for the country, which characterised your golden generation. We enjoyed football then and we were also emotional in front of our televisions because of the commitment you guys brought into the game. You guys were not paid your bonuses as at when due, but you still came, played and spend your money for friends and family. As Captain, you stood for your boys, which did not go down well with the authority, but GOD is solidly with you. We lost all those now and that's why we are where we are now in terms of football. Nigeria is the ultimate loser of the ill treatment you guys received. We will forever remember how good and proud you guys made us feel.
