Needs to be done. The Lord has sent us out as sheep amongst wolves, but at the same time we have to be wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. Which means we need to be vigilant, speak up and not door mats for dangerous woke ideologies.

If Saint Patrick could convert a country in the 5th century, its possible for us (by the Lord) that we can convert nations. Many assume the burden of evangelizing is on the next guy next to you in the pew, but that guy thinks the same. The burden is on us all.

Thanks Father for this reassuring homily. It seems that the good Lord is pruning his Church. Very sadly many lukewarm Christian will be battered by circumstance to deny Christ, or even attack his Church. At this time we really need to know exactly why we love Our Lord, and his Church so much. Maybe we lay folk could spend the next year taking to heart the answers to these two questions.

Disappointed, the synodal way is not going to work. The mission of the Church is to teach the precepts of the Church. The Church should not change, people need to wake up and return to Chet!

Fr. Bill, you are right that Christendom is a thing of the past. The Church no longer has a say in matters of state and this is a bad thing because it allows the state to make evil laws. Everything we do must be done according to God's will and if we are to return to Apostolic practices, this must involve a return to Tradition (Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle 2 Thess 2:15). We will be blessed with God's grace according to the degree to which we carry out God's will. Concern about fraternity, environmentalism, climate change, biodiversity, excessive focus on the poor etc are not the way forward. We must recover a strong sense of the supernatural because this appears to be sadly lacking in the Church today.
