Thankyou for this tip. I used to airbrush back in the 70s and 80s with automotive Acrylic Lacquer. Then in the 90s with ink. Im hoping to get my airbrush out of hibernation soon for my acrylic paints in fact your Out of production Derivan Minis paints. I will back them up when they run out with your tube paints mixed to match. Fortunately i have a few bottles of surface tensioner to practise with presently.

Yes, if not left to dry the colour is easy to remove. Just wipe away. The same silk screen is used for all the colours in this video. Once dried, the colour is more difficult to remove.

Thanks for the great video, I’ve been experimenting with creating a suitable surface for my submissions to this year 9X5 exhibition at the Victorian Artist Society, which are on 9 by 5 inch wooden panels, like the original impressionist exhibition of Roberts Condor & Streeton in 1889. I want one in watercolour and the other in soft pastel. I was testing derivan products, see my blog post, even before I came across this great summary. 😀 imageo.blogspot.com/2024/03/finding-ideal-surface-for-my-9x5.html
