Drupa 2024 is a perfect opportunitty for MGI digital Technology, to unveil a breakthrough innovation inself-adhesive label die-cutting
The cutting operation is performed not by laser, but by 4-axis heads equipped with professional cutting blades! This technological choice reconciles the best of the traditional and the digital, and is compatible with any type of substrates, synthetic, coated and uncoated, especially cotton paper (without laser burn marks), for reduced power consumption.
Thanks to the Octopus, PDF to Cut becomes a reality, on all types of substrates, at the highest level of quality.
Unique of its kind, the Octopus transforms the die-cutting operation into a new element of label finishing, thanks to versioning die-cutting, facilitating pack differentiation on the shelf.
The Octopus cuts rolls previously printed on AccurioLabel 400 and embellished on MGI JETvarnish 3D Web 400, on different substrats by UPM.
