Mostly hosting private family videos but will share some of the best content publicly. The volcano documentaries are all from a now defunct company in Hawaii (Volcano Video Productions) and I uploaded the content so it isn't lost forever. I purchased the DVDs when visiting the Big Island in October 2021 for that amazing eruption (some vids of it are also in my channel), but sadly economic conditions during Covid led to the company's demise. All of the links to purchase the DVDs on their website now lead to dead links, though you can find copies of some of them on Amazon if you like (this will support the Amazon seller but not the original company that created the content). I think the educational and visual value of them is unmatched, so please share with people who want to learn about these amazing phenomena. If you see any ads on the videos, that's CZcams and not me as I will never monetize this channel or any of its content. Enjoy, everyone!

20:52 Eventually som-
that roar sounds so scary but at the same time really nice
12:21 lava jumpscare 😱😱😱 (skeri)
Goddamn this footage is beyond spectacular. Especially 14:33. So dramatic

I love volcanoes, they’re so fascinating🌋😊🧐
Incredible footage, best I've seen so far.
Lava lamps
A'a is not an actual word. It was the sound that some ancient person made when they accidentally stepped on a jagged piece. 😅
Every single clip of lava in this video should have been extended at least half an hour each
OWO.....Sooooooo Nice
Seeing roads over the caldera is a sign of disrespect to mother nature.
Bravo pour votre vidéo belle image merci ❤❤
So, in summary, there are 2 types of lava: Hoy-hoy and Ha-haa 😊
The narrator sounds like AI.
I’m glad to see this documentary is still available somewhere, I used to watch this on repeat on an old DVD when I was little, saw some news on new Kilauea eruptions and wondered if this was on CZcams at all after being reminded of it. Suffice to say I’m quite happy to find it here. Thanks mate.
Awesome! It's an incredible doc and it would be awful to lose it forever. Definitely check out the 2005-2019 video if you haven't which has even more amazing footage (better cameras and whatnot). Enjoy!
@@amitj4917 yeah I watched it right after- but I could swear there’s some missing scenes compared to what I remember- I swear there was some footage of them going out onto a solidified flow explaining the dangers of it, and it actually happens that their foot goes through a solidified bubble and it cuts them. As well as other scenes where the geologists are in full reflective gear because of the heat to collect a sample at another time, the DVD wasn’t just on Kilauea, it was a more general Hawaiian volcano update. Does that ring a bell? Could you point me in the right direction for the other parts of you have them? I’m still super appreciative being able to see at least what I remember to be most of what I watched.
@@Silver_Lloyd TBH it's been awhile now since I even watched these videos so I really don't recall. It might be worth checking the "Lava Flows and Lava Tubes" or "Kīlauea: Close-up of an Active Volcano" videos I also have uploaded. In 2021, these were all the videos I could find on volcanology from the hawaiipacificparks site which was the distributor of all of the Volcano Video DVDs. LMK if these have what you're looking for, or perhaps someone else will see this and offer their insight. I also heard that they used to release an updated version of these videos each year, so perhaps you had a version that they eventually cut out sections in favor of others in updates. Sorry, wish I knew more so you could scratch that nostalgia itch. Hopefully you find what you are looking for.
@@amitj4917 I might have to try and find the actual DVD if I have it stored away at my Dad’s place in some corner and try and extract the footage, I’ll let you know if I get around to it. Thanks again man.
❤❤❤❤❤
woooow
Trying to hose down lava tho...
(❡🅰® ⚡🅿📧📧👌 ⭕🎵)
Fascinating.
Don't you think this is what ended the dynasours
It's definitely the the other most plausible theory aside from the meteor strike theory. Or perhaps they both contributed heavily to their demise. We may never know.
I now see how Groudon stood a chance vs Kyogre.
They are called "Lava Bombs"! Not "Spatter Bombs"!
Wrong! Nature needs to be left be! The way it is Meant to be!
❤❤❤
That's how Mother Nature works, real landscaping and black sand making.
No permits required, either :D
Amazing filming and commentary describing the whole personality of moving lava. Too bad Volcano Video Productions went out of business. Imagine what you could show us today!
It's absolutely awful. For 30 years they provided so much value and now they are gone. Ken Hon (who was the primary narrator and videographer in all these videos) now serves as the Scientist-in-Charge of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO), so hopefully we get more content like this in the future as new eruptions happen.

When your Paradise turns into Hell don't be Surprised .Same with People with Beach Vacation Houses in areas were Hurricane Storms Frequently Hit is just a Time ticking Bomb waiting to Destroy Everything they have Worked Hard for

It's just Groudon and Kyogre at it again. Sooner of later Rayquaza will show up and calm them down.
