It’s interesting. I couldn’t care less about the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I actually think they’re kind of overrated imo. However, I will say that I have an extreme fascination with their guitarists, sans Navarro. Frusciante in particular is such an interesting individual. There’s this almost childlike naivety and wonder that counters the deep soulfulness and introspection of someone that has been through the muck and mire.

It’s a true miracle that he is still alive after how deep into addiction he was. He is (and we are) so lucky he found the strength to bring it all back together. His life is a beautiful story of survival and redemption.

John pauses a lot when he talks. He always seems like he’s really thinking about what to say next. Not so much now as back in the 2000s. I think he was really still recovering all that time. The drugs really destroyed him in every aspect.

I had the pleasure of meeting him after one of his solo shows in 2001, and he is such a sweet, genuine, gentle kinda guy. Just like he is here. He hugged me and he was very small too. I'm only 5'2'' and I got the impression that he wasn't much bigger than me lol.

I am just saying it; The band with John no doubt hit the charts and these guys were killing it! But Anthony does not give himself the credit he deserves. All these years he's been the voice of the band. I don't care if he does not play an instrument!

I met John on the Mother’s Milk tour and he was a bit cocky and not very engaging then but as he matured and grew as a musician and a person he’s morphed into a very interesting and enlightening conversationalist… he seems like a great guy now….

He really is excentricity at its best these really creative artists are all the same they are gifted semi autistic the music finds them hypersensitivity aerials
