Thank you!! I was in a jewelershop 2 days ago with my fiancee and I couldnt muster too much interest for the box of mens rings which were all plain bands. I have a nice 2.45 ct sapphire, the first gem i bought myself and the seller made mee a silver ring with it for free which in my mind always was a placeholder. At that moment i figured, cant i have ring made from it as a wedding band, and -with her blessing - i had the jewelers smith help me design a ring thats probably going to be a bit big, white gold with a sapphire on 4x2 prongs. I felt happy a first but this mor ing i woke up feeling awkward about it: did i do something socially weird or make something that defeats the purpose of a band. I am no expert of weddings, let alone wedding bands, so i did what any uncertain and slightly insecure man would do i googled it (no useable results), i looked on reddit (couldnt find on point) and searched on youtube! Now i almost imediately found your video, and (even though i gotta stress my self worth is generally not defined by what strange men say on youtube) it was very reassuring to hear what you had to say about it and see the rings and philosophies you had on it. In a brotherly advice kind of way. Made me feel better and i do like to identify with this category of males/humans - the artistic and creative. The only thing i am still a bit sour about is that i was charged 3000 eur for designing and making the 18ct ring, yet it has the sapphire I already owned. So thank you! I know, i could have just liked the video (i did) but this felt appropriately more personal. 🙏🏻

I was in Arusha Tanzania last week, where they come from, and went to the Tanzanite experience lab and bought a small stone. Im so excited to turn this into a pendant with diamond's around it and white gold. It came with an authentication certification and all the info. Im super happy with my purchase directly from its origin.

Here I was thnking "white" sapphire was simply pure corundum, since it's colourless like the pure form corundum itself.

I have a few yellows, pink, and a bunch of violet/deep blue. D block is just where local artisans mine their stones. I love the fact that all tanzanite has to be cut in Tanzania. They won't allow you to take rough stones out of the country unless they are considered specimens

Why not you mentioned kashmir blue sapphire which most precious, royal and peacock neck colour 🦚...

I have an inexpensive blue topaz that resembles a good quality aquamarine. It's not over the top blue which makes it look more genuine. It's an 8mm round solitaire, with zircon tapered baguettes on either side. I chuckle because I've had so many compliments on that darn ring. I would like a genuine aquamarine someday though!😊
