Reassured, seeing my size. . . he said you didn't think people with a 'big big bootie' spun poi! (He said "thicker" people). He apologized, in case he offended me! I was touched.
Limiting beliefs are a funny thing. Almost all of us have some. . . It true, there are some moves where a 'big big bootie' is rougher. . . but there are more moves where it doesn't matter!
I've been spinnig poi 17 years. I've learned many things. . . Self acceptance is one of them. . . it's the gift that keeps on giving! I also learned: work with what I've got.
I've become body POIsitive.

Long burns on the staffs, what fuel was being used?
Staff always burn forever it's mad!!! Especially contact staff as there is less air friction.
white gas mostly with a touch of lamp oil (Paraffin ultra pure)
