2005 Camry 3.3 L vibration during acceleration
zhlédnutí 10KPřed 2 lety
If you are experiencing a vibration during acceleration only in the front end it could be one of your CV shafts. I found that the passenger driveshaft had a lot of play. This would cause the driveshaft to vibrate at any speed. If you have car ramps put the car up on them. Set the emergency brake first then put the car in neutral let go of the brakes and put the car in park. By doing this there ...

After Rebuilding the heads and installing new fuel injectors. Engine codes P2196 and P21968 came up there was a list of items that could be the issue. Customer asked me to change the O2 sensors, the coil pack, and I had to change the spark plugs because they were fouled. It wound up to be the inferior fuel injectors that the customer purchased. I suggest always buying factory original for this ...

Thank you Martin. I have the same issue with my 05 Camry. I was suspecting the same drive shaft. Was also considering the engine mounts. I already have the shaft and will be changing it. Was the original one hard to pull? Did you need any specific tools to get it off? Thanks for the video!
@@leozroar have you ever changed a CV shaft? If you never have, I suggest you get somebody to help you that has or take it to a shop. It is a little labor intensive and can be dangerous. In addition to the CV shaft, I recommend you also change the shaft seal on the transmission.
@automechanicc Thank you! Yes, I have changed them before, but on an old Subaru and it was a pain. That was a long time ago as well. I am actually changing CV, hub, rotor, brake pads on both sides and doing a brake flush/bleed. I just know that sometimes there are proprietary tools needed for some things. Wasn't sure about this model of Camry. Thanks!
Tysm I thought I had a issue within the engine just saved me so much stress
Glad it helped.
Appreciate it very much bro I couldn't figure out what's wrong with my 2005 Toyota Camry it was the exact same thing but on the driver's side I replaced it but now I still have vibration because I broke all four of my motor mounts haha
@@guillermochavira1727 glad it cleared up one issue. Sorry to hear about the mounts
Mine does not have a clip like you show, so nothing to press on to get it to pop out of the housing. 2010 Prius Level 4 Trim with a painted hood
There is supposed to be a piece in there to make it snug. Its like a washer/spacer of sorts
Thanks for the video. I am interested in doing this to make extra space for gear storage, however I worry about having the hybrid battery and other parts exposed. Would it be easy to damage or steal?
if the clip stays, how can i remove it to reset without breaking it
Thanks for the heads up. When you replaced gasket, where did you go to get the correct torque for putting the engine block together
Found ford repair manual. Let me see it I have it still
Thank you. Very helpful video.
What brand fuel injectors did you buy?
So he bought injectors that were crap?
The customer suggested them to me. He went cheap. Like $100 for the pair.
Thank you
Thanks dude
Thanks all i needed to learn is how to remove cup holder so i can route my aftermarket carplay power cable so no wires can be seen outside.❤
This was actually very helpful. I shaved a bit off the groove and worked great. What a crappy lever design huh!? But thanks for helping out!
Thanks. Having already revealed the hook and eye connection on the back side of the seat, I did assume that the starting point would be the front edge of the "bench". But, I was not prepared for the amount of effort required to release the two (I assumed three) latch points at the front edge. Your surprise at having yanked the first plastic anchor point out of its presumed permanent residence was very reassuring. Now, my incentive for engaging in this effort was to improve on the stability and dependable location of the two left central seatbelt latches. So, I was disappointed that you did not demonstrate your method of preparing the unsupported and flopping seatbelt latches prior to reinstalling the bench. Thanks again for your very useful instruction.
Hey, so did the driveshaft end up being your issue? I am having the exact same issues as you I even change the dog bone and still vibrating when accelerating. also, by driveshafts, do you mean Cv’s?
Yes, it was the driveshaft
"I already did mine" Crumbs everywhere. Lol
Damn thing won't go back on
Excelent How to video, I have seen tons of videos on how to remove the back seat on toyota sedans but non of them as detail and well explained likes this regardless of the lack of editing on the video which I personally don’t need. Five stars to this guy. Thank you.
Hey i have a 2001 saloon corolla E11 Facelift; i have a funny issue with my central locking. It works with the key from outside but relocks again after about a second, you have to be fast to open the door. The other 3 doors will stay locked afterwards but drivers door will stay unlocked. Any ideas?
Thanks
Is this the same for the Prius c
never put tap water in the windshield washer reservoir. i usually used filtered water and/or those premix you can buy in the store for bugs and or anti freeze. so far no issues with mine. when i didnt know better i use to put tap water in and it usually , after a while, it leaves a film of hard water until the reservoir and the hose and nozzles are totally bad.
I’ve been fighting a vibration under load but only at highway speeds - your video, and some others, have certainly pointed me in a new direction - and - when I got this car a couple of years ago, I saw then that the CV axle(s) boots were torn or greasy looking, and I knew some day I “may” have to change them, if “noise” started to occur, but I don’t “hear” anything, just feel it, but everything is (now) making sense to me - so thank you very much for this brief and very informative video - this is great news for me - thanks!
Thanks 😊
Hi, would you be able to tell me the part number for the USB and 12V socket section of the center console? The ports themselves are missing, and the bare wires are just sitting at the bottom of the box. Thanks!!
Did replacing the cv axle fix the issue?
Yes it did. That was the main issue.
I got under my 2002 Toyota corolla 5 speed stick this morning , My passenger side cv knuckle next to the wheel had slack like yours . It would shake a little under stress. Am going to be replacing it in a few days and ill let you know if that fixes it..

Thanks so much for the video.
Can't believe this video is on my exact year of Prius. Wanna exchange it out for a comfy love seat.
Thanks! I have the same vibrations in my Camry and also heard to use only OEM CV shafts.
After replacing all my 05 camry xle mount. I now see my driver axle almost out thanks
Question ? Did replacing the half shaft fix the issue ?
Yes it did
Thank for this short
Great video! This is my exact issue. Can you please provide a link for just the mechanic portion of it?
Sorry I don’t have a video of how I took it out from the door.
I didn't understoond the mechanism of how the plastic is stuck in the seat.
Thank you for the info. I’m after the same symptom, however our drive shafts are OEM and I don’t want to replace them if they aren’t faulty. I’ve replaced the dog bone mount so far.
Check the cvs for loose play. Put car on ramps and block the rear tires and set emergency brakes. Turn ignition key to run position but don’t start the engine. Put the car into neutral. Now check the shaft on the cvs and pull up and down. If it moves like the one in my video then it’s bad. Check both shafts. Does it only vibrate on acceleration?
@@automechanicc yes it only vibrates during acceleration. Motor mounts are aged and rubber was broken on the dogbone mount. Haven’t replaced the pneumatic front motor mount yet. I’m hoping it’s not the driveshafts. I will jack up the front of the car and do a full assessment of the driveshafts and suspensions next.
Thank you!
I can't get the seat to click back into place. Any trick to that?

How about the upper piece (where passengers lay their back on)?

Whoa awesome thank you!
Had the problem 5 years ago on a 99, recyclers and dealers wouldn't let me buy just the door latch, electronics are good, and didn't need it. Ended up taking it apart and cleaned it up and wd-40 the recessed disk with the gulley around it that controls the inside rod handle. It was a little better but the problem still is when it gets really hot from sitting in the sun it doesn't want to work easily. No problem in the winter.
You explained it slowly and thoroughly. Thanks.
Is it possible to remove just the right side of the top part of the seat without removing the bottom part? I just want my bed to lay flatter so will put in plywood.
This was perfect, thank you. But what about the seat backs?
Hey, I hope you can help but I have a 2002 Corolla and the door is holding on with no panel at all and I’m constantly putting the window motor in just to let the windows down but the door handle on the outside doesn’t open my door and the door on the inside does but if I were to unlock another door and then the drivers door wouldn’t even open anymore from the outside or the inside please respond to see if I just need the lock part and not the actuator because the door is locking and unlocking just not opening from the inside or outside
