I'm excited to finally be starting my St. Louis album! I'll be using a 6x8 Simple Stories album, but I plan to incorporate various sizes/styles of page protectors. For my opening page, you'll see me use: pocket card, alpha stickers, ephemera, chipboard, washi, stamping, ink splattering.

You'll see me use: patterned paper, vellum, stamping, phrase labels, puffy stickers, pocket cards, tags, ink splattering, washi, postcard, chipboard stickers, ephemera, enamel dots, flip-outs, and more!
Cincy: Chubby Unicorns

This is a double-page layout that uses a 3x8 page on the left and a 6x8 page with a flip-out on the right (making it 9x8). All photos are from the Cincinnati Zoo. You'll see me use: pocket cards, stickers, phrase stickers, border stickers.
I have not seen those 6×8 pages with the 2×2 pockets; I might have to try that style layout. Love the spread 💛💛
What a great name “The Milkman”
I love seeing your hybrid pages. They turned out great!
@@life_documented7 Thanks! They’re definitely faster for me to do than traditional pages.
I like how you used digital stamps. I have some but forget to use them! I really need to learn to use Canva on my phone since I never use PSE on my computer.
Love all the bright murals!
Hi Tracy this my favorite style of min album as I can get them no problem in Ireland. Can you tell me where you got the flip out pages as they're such a good idea for extra photos. Looking forward to part 2.
@@bardou123 I bought them on scrapbook.com
About the transparent attacher pieces - I scrap mostly in Din A4 and get them in an office supply store here in Germany (way less expensive). If I scrap in other sizes like 6x8 albums I makes them myself from transparency sheets and strong adhesive tape and punch as needed. Tickets usually go on matching cardstock.
That album is pretty! ☀️
Using an attacher for the tickets: go for it! Then you’ll know if you want to do it again (or not).
That is a very good point. If I end up hating it, I’ll know not to do it again! 🤣
I sometimes put that size ticket(s) on the back of a postcard that I got from the place. But if you don't have that, you could adhere to them next to one another, which would make it a wider size, and then it might fit in a pocket page. Just some suggestions. 💚💚
I can’t wait to see your Santa Fe trip. I love seeing all of your process videos. And I’d love to see you complete a project in a weekend! Good luck with your surgery.
I always enjoy seeing ANY process video you do--ALL your trips everywhere. It gives me thought where I may want to go. Since watching your train travels it makes me want to take a train trip somewhere just for the experience 🙂. It gives me inspiration for when I may scrap. They make me really consider doing some solo traveling (I'm too chicken to go anywhere alone (except Disney World which I've done several times) but the more I watch you take solo trips the more inspired to do it myself as well). So yes, I want to see every trip, every layout! Curious--what's the draw to go to Chicago so often (unless it's work related)? Best of luck with your surgery.
You should totally travel solo - it’s so liberating! You get to do whatever you want whenever you want, no one else’s opinion matters. As for why I’m there so much, it’s a mix of things. It’s close - only 6 hr drive, 1 hr flight, or 7-8 hour train ride for me to get there. One of my employers does have branches here, so there also that. It’s my second favorite big city after NYC - so many choices for art, theater, architecture, food.
@@scrappytracy5557 That's why I've done Disney World solo a few times--I do what I want, when I want, etc. I can drive to Chicago in less than 2 hours (I'm just north of Milwaukee) but rarely go--I have 2 friends that keep saying they want to go but never follow through. Maybe I'll get brave one day
@@JuliaBGK Do it! You can park at the Milwaukee airport and pick up Amtrak there. You can take the Hiawatha train right into Union Station in Chicago. I’ve done it many times - super easy.
That is such a cute layout with the hippo’s! I’ve got really old photos from a zoo I went to with our son, just need more time to play. I take far too many pictures 😆
Great inspiration here ☀️
Pretty pack of blue, yellow and glittery words you have!
I am impressed how consistent you are with scraping your trips. I still have a project from 2019 😂. I watch all your videos, so whatever you post, I'll watch.
Glad you are watching! I tend to get twitchy if I can’t start a trip album within 6-9 months of being back. I do keep travel journals, but I am still afraid I will forget things if I wait too long! Plus, travel scrapping is my favorite activity - it helps me relive my trips. :)
I want to see u scrap all the things
Duly noted! 😄
To be honest I don't care so much about the actual trip you scrap, because I will never travel to the US (my husband doesn't like to fly; I had to beg to go to Iceland ;)). I liked seeing your layouts about train travel in the US (quite different to my train travel experiences in Germany). But most of all I find your explanations about design choices really helpful, so I will continue to watch whatever you decided to film. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Thank you for watching! I do hope you can travel more - go solo! Most of my travel is by myself and I love it.
@@scrappytracy5557 Thank you for filming. We do travel. It's just by car. And we always find new and interesting places to visit in Europe, but we also enjoy going back to familiar and much beloved places. I do some travels without my husband, but that's mostly to visit friends and occassionally on work-related trips for conferences and advanced training (I'm a nurse working with stroke victims). We do not spend as much time as other couples together during the day to day, because I work shifts, my husband has on-call duties and that doesn't align as well as we could hope. So vacations are our sacred time together, not to be missed. ;)
I would love to see all your trips! You give me inspiration to get my scrapbooks done! Wishing you well on your surgery!!
Thanks for the positive vibes!
Really lovely little albums you have. That sunshine yellow is so pretty. Well I enjoy all your videos Tracy!
You can tell that yellow is one of my favorite colors because I have several yellow albums! :)
You can catch up on scrapping while you’re recovering! I definitely want to see all your flip throughs even if you don’t due process videos , and I think it would be a fun challenge to finish your OKC and Denver album in a weekend!
I really hope I feel up to doing some scrapping - it would be great to have several days to just focus on crafty things.
I lost my only dat stamp with current years - it was in the pocket of my travel bag too. 😂
My son and I saw the giraffes quite close up too, beautiful and their amazing long black tongues.
What a lovely experience to hand feed the giraffes!
Just curious--the MKE/CHI trip was basically 2 days? While in Chicago what did you do with your belongings as you were adventuring about the city and before going back to Union Station? Looks like you packed a lot in Chicago in basically 6 hours--good going. Always enjoy your videos!
Yes - I left on Saturday morning and got home late Sunday night. Since I took the train in between MKE and CHI, I left my bag at the Amtrak station. I have access to the Amtrak lounge as a perk, so I left my bag there while I was out in the city. Luckily, I know Chicago well so it is easy for me to get around. I am actually doing a whole album for combined trips to Chicago for 2024, since I will be there so often this year.
@@scrappytracy5557 It's great you have somewhere to stash your belongings. Can't wait to see the new album!
You got a lot of great shots of the capital. I wish I would have gotten to take a tour. Your album turned out great!
Next time!
I need to build a zoo stash with as many as we go to😂. Seeing your layouts come together is really tempting me to take a spontaneous road trip to Cincy the next time I have a 3 day weekend!
You should!
Really great flip through
Thanks for watching! It was fun to finish up a flipbook - it's a great feeling of accomplishment to see a completed album.
Have you thought about zooming your camera in so we can see the images? Just some food for thought.
Sometimes I do close-ups, but with the set-up I use, I’d have to pause the video every time, plus adjust the camera. I don’t go too high-tech, so most of the time it’s just a hassle.
Love these colors and the large title.
I love this layout especially the large stamped title. Your stamping always turns out good. Mine doesn’t which I think is why I don’t stamp much 😂
Same!
I must finish off my albums, and get photos in order. Always nice inspiration ☀️
I like how you take your time over matching colors and embellishments.
Pretty trees, love the name “Sparkle and Shine” ☀️
That Good Morning card is lovely!
Absolutely loved this one with the train, the colours are great too.
What fun day trips! I wish there were more places that I could take the train just for the day.
You may have to research some of the smaller cities/towns to see what they offer.
Love it! Thanks for sharing!
This has been really fun to do, since I don’t use flipbook albums that often.
I love your videos, please don't stop making them
Thank you for your support!
Would you be willing to film a video of your scrappy space and how you store your stash? I would love that!
I do have an old video of that from about 5 years ago. Some things have changed since then and some haven’t! The biggest changes are that I don’t do 12x12 anymore, so it’s easier for me store things, and I quit using Snapfish because their quality has seriously tanked. I may consider doing an updated video at some point, but I don’t have specific plans for it right now.
Thank you Tracy! This is awesome!
I can’t believe you stayed at the zoo all day with a migraine. I get them and there’s no way I would have made it!
It was a tough day, but the whole trip was planned around the zoo, so I wasn’t giving up!
Still haven’t finished our Chicago album. I enjoy watching your videos for great inspiration. Love your huge trains in the USA
I will be documenting more train travel this year, so there is more to come.
I recorded a flip of my Springfield album today and so it was fun to see some of the same things through your eyes. Mine was only a day trip so I didn’t get to do as much. Can’t wait to see the rest
Yay! Can’t wait to see yours.
Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your album flips. I’ve been to his boyhood & birthplace sites in Kentucky. I’ll have to add this to my list.
If you are into the history about him, you should definitely go.
What a fun exhibit!
Love that you included Cincinnati in your layout. We have some fabulous things to see and do and lovely murals around the city! Thanks for your video.
I will be scrapping some of the murals!
Now I want to go to Amsterdam and Brussels. I just have to find a travel partner willing to go or find a tour group and go solo! (husband doesn't like to travel like I would like to given the opportunity). Love traveling vicariously through you!
You definitely should!
Can’t wait to see more of this album!
Love your day 2 tour. Growing up in RI all my life, you taught me a few things I didn't know, such as the beautiful library you toured. I need to get there. Glad you enjoyed your visit!
I did more things that weren’t shown, but you’ll have to wait for the scrap layouts to see that. 😉
