7:47 STOP!! If installing a new hub axle bearing, just back out the 3 hub bolts and hammer them from behind. This will drive the whole assembly out off the knuckle. Source junkyard or new bolts if you will reuse the old assembly.
these are nice shifters, I've got the same on my 71 Trans Am. Excellent video
You got a link to that socket you used to twist the bolt on??
Hi. You can also use a thin rotozip bit to remove the rubber.
Excellent tutorial. No unnecessary bs. They should all be like this. Great job fellas. After reading some comments I said pretty much what everyone else is saying.
Thanks
Thank you for doing a good explanatory video everything is about the same on my 65 amc rambler I'm building besides I have drums but your video helps with what bushing has to hold where and where everything goes back together when I loose track with so much parts all over the place
Great video! I got the 2 piece BOP seal and about to the same.. I just have one concern.. Filling the anti-rotation wholes with silicon wouldn't it make it hard to remove and replace the seal the next time without taking the crank off?
Pretty sure that was per their instructions. Most likely your motor will need a complete rebuild before you need to do this again.
@@Oldsmob455 yeah, I saw in another video that the sealer needs to be used on the 3.25 main blocks but not in the 3 inch blocks (like my 400) so I may not need to use it. I haven't gotten the seal yet so I haven't been able to go through the instructions myself
Well this is inspiring I'm doing my 74 monte carlo and installing air bags ,watching this i now know I'm in for a lot of fun😂
Looks great so far..good content and thanks...🔧🔧👍
Thanks!
Darn Tootin, Ya betcha that vette is gonna be a granny pantie puller It’s obvious Paul likes those wide glides
lol
That corvette sounds good, is that a 327/375,horse ?
It was a 300 horse but it has been warmed up with a cam, exhaust and heads.
@@Oldsmob455 yeah I can hear that cam sounds nice
🔧🔧👍👍
Thanks for Watchin!
Hey fellas, is there gonna be any updates on the javelin?
Not much to update on. Have not really worked on it lately.
Great video
Cool truck but watch your fingers around that bed.
Darn Tootin!! Have No-It-All-Paul build ya some headers
Whoever put that hydraulic ram where they did needs to study some elementary geometry.
It dumps anything you put in it.
He stalled it! 😂
Patched out the duals too.
Neat old dump box...🔧🔧👍
What a pain the butt. I own one of these and am not that fond of the front suspension system, rides hard and not much travel.
Front spring
Never give up...
You don't need to burn the rubber out. Just use air hammer/chisel to dent in the shells.
My 92 everything works but it shifts hard
Some where in time KitchenAid changed the grease. My wife has her mother's KitchenAid mixer that is probably 50 years old, she used it very much. It has never leaked a drop of oil/grease, my wife's KitchenAid mixer that is at least 40 years old, it has never leaked a drop of oil/grease. I am fixing my daughter's KitchenAid mixer that is less than 10 years old, it is leaking oil/grease.
If you still have the truck can you show the pto system from the bottom what brand is it and how it works too. Thanks
Maybe one day. Truck is a ways away.
@@Oldsmob455 thanks
Could use a easy job on a project....it will drop for sure after it settles and you fill the tank and drive it... did you try a Pontiac or Oldsmobile road wheels ( rally style ) has a different inset depth on the rims for clearance...??...good content and thanks...🔧🔧👍
I considered Pontiac wheels for a second but the wheels on it seem to fit pretty good. We have yet to drive it though.
Tidy work.
Nice job...good content and thanks....🔧🔧👍
Nice work ! I did ask about using a wheel spacer . But no need!!
Good content and cat wait to see more....thanks...🔧🔧👍
In that case I'll upload a new video for you today. :)
Put short studs in it and do away with the block
I didn't feel like modifying the exhaust pipe. Maybe if I change the works out one day.
Were your blinkers not working either?
Nice video, thanks. But not everyone has an Oxy-torch and Mig welder handy. With all of that heat the caliper seals are ruined for sure. If you're doing this for a customer, the labor will cost more than replacing the caliper!
I believe that caliper is still on the car and working. Metal is cooled quickly by the brake fluid.
now THAT shows you just how durable the direct drives are. Enjoy your new crappy HE washer
Definitely worth the effort looks way better nice job
Looks nice.... Thanks...🔧🔧👍
Thanks
I totally agreed with you those wheels 🛞 look much better on the car
Thanks
finally I know what the water connector for, thanks.
I was a oiler in a foundry pump it till you see it glistening . If that assembly was full of Greece, when you went to Greece it probably about 10 shots or pumps. If the bearings have the seals in them grease and it ain’t gonna do no good because they’re sealed bearings. You have to pull one side of the seal off my deck had them all on it and no grease in it from the factory and no grease in the snowblower from the factory Shoot for snowblower. The drive gear was welded on crooked. The one they replaced. It sent me the replace had the notch in the wrong place had to weld it shut so it would quit falling off while we were using it. The mower deck Decatur fell off the first day we were cutting grass with itauxiliary power, cigarette lighter wire, rip loose and shorted out the fuse. Jack shaft for the snowblower didn’t have enough grease in. It ate the bearings and then it ate two belts and a pulley but another than that it sits in the yard quite good. Main thing greasing does is push dirt and debris out of bearings. A lot of our bearings ran in piles of sand do to lack of maintenance. We had 1 bearing setups on shakeout that had 7 zerks each required 1 pump of grease every 8 hours of run time. It cost $32000 in 1980s
Glad Paul taught u about carbs, He is good for some now and then.
the ABS sensor bolt is the only standard bolt on my subaru -- the head on mine snapped off, just like yours, and the only tap i had was a 1/4 20 :-D
Thanks AGAIN, COOP ...
Getting closer to a reliable driver.
One step at a time.
Thanks for the carb rebuild information....good content and thanks 🔧🔧👍
Thanks.
Great video I see that you are not playing around keeping really active my personal preference carburetor is Edelbrock just because I was able to learn how to deal with them for a long time and they never let me down but that's exactly what I put in my birds thank you for the update keep it going love to see your videos brother
Thanks for the comment. You are going to love that new garage you are building!
would a 69 rebel have the same suspension?
I don't know, you would have to look at it.
Thanks for the AMC V-8 Content COOP ...
Thanks for the AMC V-8 Content I utilized ISKEDERIAN AMC ROLLER LIFTERS in my 310 Pro-Gas AMC V-8 COOP ...
I dig this channel. Been following you for a long time. Is the block correct for this car? It is my understanding that this was a 300hp car…. But someone put a solid lifter cam in it??
Glad you like the content. We try. Yes original block that was rebuilt by previous owner.
