The major advantage is having more fun

I already played it in first person once, accidentally, 2-3 years ago. The camera glitched out and I was on the ground, except the camera wasn't attached to my body

1:45 safe to say ive been in a situation like this 2 wars before. I got downed by a guy and the next guy picked me up and yeah, its fun talking to the enemy but it's a bit scary when them wardens shout "slave!!" with some sus words at you.

This was my first war after I chose the wardens i just clicked on a random battle and it was Mercys wish. I saw the frozen lake, the massive artillery barrages that made leaving trenches impossible, I saw the wardens pushing and then the colonials, and the bunker base not having any ammunitions like 5 times. Also a dead body flew over me once.

I’ll admit I enjoy going to Mercy’s Wish sometimes. Usually to coach the new players that are there and getting discouraged. Usually bring some arty with me they can help with or set up a Lamentum for them to sit on and pelt the Wardens with. They usually wind up having a blast.

Give it a better skybox and some draw distance and boom, it'll be a pretty decent shooter.

depending on what day this fottage was taken on, that might have been me and mine dropping those 120mm on the wish....about 2 days ago? we were aiming for the warden 120mm that had been shelling us in the tomb but were in shifting winds, blowing against us so "aim" was more hope than skill.....and trust me, you guys were giving as good as you got.

The advantage of first person is that you get real WWI shellshock.

I like maintaining my own little base, it has enough parking space for a flatbed, scrap truck and transport (plus crane and scrap & container crates), so with an hour on my hands I can do a scrap > refinery > factory run with the flatbed, then keep the container full of crates back at my base so that next time I get on I can take it to a frontline seaport. If any fellow Wardens want to join in on my little venture they would be more than welcome.

I believe tanks would be damaged so much that they cannot be repaired in the field, needing a recover vec to bring it back to the factory and each new heavy tank needs a bigger stronger recover vec

Add a fog filter to hide the pop ins and then you'd have a horrifying war game. In fact, FPS Foxhole would essentially be WW2 online.

I play Enlisted all time, so having a Foxhole like one would be very cool. It would also cool to customize the Soldiers from both Colonel and Warden.

I personally would play foxhole much more if it was an fps game. I personally don't like the current combat.

The unending siege

I wish I could play… I’m on his hiatus cause I have no Internet. But when I log on. You wardens better watch ya asses. Cause I’m a colonial elite and my ghast is hungry for blue berry pie!!! This looks weirdly good for an game made to be look from the top, this should be an opition in the game lol. I dont think it gives any advantages, actually some would say it gives disavantages

I think front line should use it. It will make it more realistic.

On the accuracy issues, that's another drawback to playing in a perspective the game wasn't made for; you no longer have to line showing you the max effective range anymore (or maybe you do but it's at an angle to you). In that bridge fight a rifle would've been better for defending the bridge because of it's range, while the SMG is really only useful in an assault, and the line can be a helpful reminder of that. But because you're in FPS mode, and can't see the line, your brain is in FPS mode, and you intuitively tried aiming at targets beyond what you would've been able to really reach.

If they implemented this I’d play

Probably the only 'advantage' is seeing longer distances while keeping FOV than the isometric camera would allow. But if enemies don't load in, if you're just playing World Of Tanks on two legs, then the extra view means nothing without mastering the game's scouting mechanics. And is that what's really going for Foxhole?

The Collies artillery is getting pinpoint accurate lol. I was carrying a wounded and the shell fell exactly in my head😂.

As a guy whos brought many flatbeds with containers full of bmats to the depot. Its good to know the burn rate was worth it. Too bad we lost it and it was tapped. Makes the fight harder. Weve tapped westmarch and tomb a few times. But one tap on mercys was a heavy blow.

Not sure about advantage, but how does the character work? It obviously doesn't untie from the games animation. I love it, it's almost nostalgic with its graphics.

It would be amazing if Foxhole devs could manage something like this, something as simple as pressing V to switch from first to third person (birds eye) view.

This is 100%. I think it was war 55 I started playing this game and have never been a Warden due to said propaganda. I chose the colonials for esthetics as well and have been a loyal auxiliary to the chaos 😅

I know many people don't like long forever war's but in the same time everyone hate when one side just snow ball into victory so quickly that no one enjoys that.

I love Mercy Wish as an arty man, I think every aspect of foxhole is usefel when it comes to bridge fight

The benefits is that if everyone is producing at the same speed really fast this can mean the supply and demand is perfect for guns and tanks

I love it but I could see there being an advantage to "1-Reaction time", "2-Visibility" and "3-Fine tuned controls" all of which are not options for everyone else.

I wonder from where this mod got the fpv to work for this game. I mean It's not like it's from those CHEATS!!!!!! I wonder why all these videos show WARDEN perspective. It's not the first time warden vets have altered game files to get good at the game
