Great video, wish you showed how you removed the the plastic plug. Cant seem to remove it with out breaking it.

I have the Raptor XDX 48. On the bypass lever there is two notches. On the first one the bypass will not work. On the 2nd one it does work. Not sure about yours but mine is a 2023. Might be worth taking another look at that lever for that 2nd notch. notch.

Really like the mods you have done. I am going to try and find the correct, or close specs on that deck lift assist spring. $50 for a spring,2 bolts & nuts and a pin are ridiculous imo.

I have a mowing buisness and the Raptor XDX was my first mower I picked to start with. I have had it for 2 years and put 613hrs on it. I must say when i changed the hydros oil it was NOT fun. Everything about the mower has been great, except that.

Mittens may need a blood test. Seems to be a bit malaise. lol Don't you love it when we spend a lot of time on something that in our minds seems like it will be the berries then it turns out to be much less than we though? Another great video young man!

Try to back up just a little ,turns your wheels around and if you like stepping on and off in the space you made .may like that better.

Hey Michael, I'm getting ready to retire this summer and am considering buying a Raptor XL or more likely a "Raptor XD". I'm in agreement that the ZT transmissions would benefit from a reserve tank and need larger batteries. I wasn't aware that changing the oil in the ZT trannies should require bleeding to complete the oil changes and hope you could cover that aspect with a video when you get to that particular maintenance chore. I'd also like to know the right way to burn in the clutch. Looking forward to more of your vids because of how you make the modifications that you want on your machine and how to recognize where the bumps in the road are that you encounter as you do your trial & error of your mods. You do a pretty good job of telling/showing What, How, Where, Why & relating what is a relative success or failure as you go. I would expect that'll save me some time money and know what works and what doesn't work when I get started. Thanks

Hustler's design and quality control seem to decline with every passing year. We have had 3 Hustler zero turn mowers over the years and each has been worse than the one before. Hustler ignores any problem that they can't fix and the selling dealer is just as unknowing.

This is a common problem and warranty should take care of your dealer is misinformed.

Resembles my fender creation. I made mine just the width of the tread which I like a bit better. But then, you have your own taste and those look very nice and you can sell them. Mine went through the flex forks over the top of the tire so when I was backing up it didn't throw trash onto the front of the deck. You can add an extension to yours in the event you find backing up still deposits debris. Great job Sir!

I’m not pay to say this , I use Super Clean to clean the grass stains off of the deck.

Great Idea With The Hook, Seen Your Video And Had To Buy The Drain House! I Made A Great Contraption That Works Much Like The One You Made But The House Looks Like Something Should Have Been Installed In The First Place! I Have a Yellow Drain Plug That Locks In And Pulls Out To Open The Valve So It Will Just Spin Right Out Without Doing Anything! It's A Kawasaki Engine So It Should Have The Right Threads? I Hope. Anyway The Hook Idea Is Something A Will Want To Get So The Hose Isn't Rattling Around Or Rubbing And Cutting Into The Hose. Thanks For The Video. The Guy I Bought The Tractor From Said That Changing The Oil Was A Disaster And Oil Spill Every time! My Contraption Worked Great and No Spill But More Work Connecting So This (No Nonsense Hose Deal) Looks To Be A Winner!
