This animating style hurts my eyes becsuse it seems so lazy to me and makes it hard to watch, its like playing a game but you can hardly tell whats actually happening becsuse the game is 2fps

One of the other problems people have is that the villain isn’t really a villain, he just gets pushed over the edge and lashes out. They made it seem bad that the wizard guy couldn’t grant every wish, but obviously he shouldn’t. He understands the surface-level wants that you talked about, and also understood that not every wish is even a good wish for anyone. The main character is just an entitled a-hole that wants stuff for herself and makes everyone else fight to get it. They were all happy living under the rule of the wizard until she randomly started getting mad about something nobody else has a problem with

Um, no? It's not 'animation history omage' - it's money. The movie was supposed to have 2D animation parts, but oh no - 2D animators unioniezd so they can't be exploited, thus change to 3D (if you ever wonder why we see only 3D animation now - that is why). It look cheap because Disney demanded the cheapest product they can get. And people NOTICE it, becaue they know how cheap movies looks like, even if they don't 'have historical knowledge of animation' (what excuse even if this - Spiderverse didn't require comic knowledge to look good).

I look forward to seeing how this turns out, it's such a great idea! Curious as to how you will tackle things like wide, mid and close up shots or if they will be included at all and how that will affected the feel of the film. I think it'll be fantastic because whatever the work around it'll be such a different experience from story telling as we know it.

The most infuriating parts of this movie is how they forced musical numbers where it became the most the most random, off beat, off pitch & zero setup numbers. Asha literally starts singing out of the blue as the king has her under his control. I really thought Frozen was a good indication of how they were turning back to great setipups for songs & story lines. Now, after this dumpster fire, I'm convinced they've completely lost the magical touch of the original purpose of Walt Disney Animation Studios

speaking of Japanese animation, I really feel you should check out the 2017 anime "Land of the Lustrous/Houseki No Kuni", a fully 3D made anime that was made at the peak of the time when 3D in anime was shunned upon, which I recall reading that it went on to inspire certain animation scenes in some form for Into the Spider-Verse, and then the animation studio in 2023 released Trigun: Stampede that went even further in improving the animation

The pose which puss makes is iconic and puss always hits his target when he does that since his first appearance (even in the start of the movie) so the animators were giving hope to people but instead just baited us which is an example of how much effort every person behind this masterpiece has put in
