3:55 going frame by frame you can see it rise to the top. after that some cuts in the edit may suggest more movement, maybe hiding it in sleeve/pocketto place it on top again after teller shuffled the deck.. that would be my guess. smooth af sleight of hand up close.

The only way I think this could be done is with some cool thievery. And damn wicked skill.

I'm late to the party it looks like, great ACAAN! I'd suspect Penn was toying with you when he said '3' like he was familiar with a particular move of yours, you seemed surprised when he said it. If you freeze frame 5:26 their expressions say it all, Penn's smirking but Teller's genuinely baffled.

Its gotta be some sort of mentalism or hypnosis, alternatively, its tv so its all a show meaning penn and teller could be in on it ,(dont believe everything you see on TV sort of thing)

The only one move i have seen was the way he laid the deck out and pulled it together just 0.1 second quicker than it was called for. It means, they were funny cards.

This is as close as it gets to the "perfect trick" which is someone just thinking of a card without influence and magician guessing it. I thought It being too good might give it away as you eliminate all other possible ways of achieving an effect but no. Truly remarkable, you are one of the best magicians I have seen.

His move happened at 03:40 watch his hands still going through the cards after Teller picked his card. He made him show it to the audience so theyre not noticing what he does there. Penn focused on Boris not looking at the cards and Teller showing it to the audience. He is searching for his gimmick there and also he didnt allow Teller to put his card back into the deck freely, which would make this the ultimate perfect trick. So maybe he was using some kind of glue to connect Teller card to the gimmick because that would survive the final shuffle. Im still not exactly sure on how he made Penn chose a number and then without (at least on tv) doing anything else to the deck. Although it looks like the editor cut an important piece out of it where Teller handed him the deck and for a fraction of a moment he maybe did something there. Maybe not, maybe he was just squaring up the deck. Most baffling trick ever. Imagine no one has fully exposed this yet. Amazing!

No idea how this is done. The only logical clue i can think of is to pay attention to when Boris handles the cards, versus when he allows P&T to handle the cards. Any of the actual "magic" has to happen in these moments.

Analyze 1:51 when he empties the box of cards. I counted 12 packs coming out of the box, but at some point there was the 13th pack behind the pile. Exactly the pack Penn chooses.

Wow a brand new deck with no jokers or guarantee cards.... amazing

To my understanding, part of the trick was cut out. Apparently there's a part where he does something he does in his other tricks to find the identity of the card. When Penn says they caught him on some things this is what he is referring to. What no one can figure out is how he was able to move the card to the position needed to which is why Penn and Teller were so amazed and what they were focused on at the end.

We can't see where it's done because they literally cut it out of the video, it goes from the close up of Teller handing him the cards to a distance shot with the cards being clearly messed with - but we miss part of it

A.I. only became a buzzword in the last two years, I'm willing to bet magicians were ahead of the curb on that one. That's for the voice replication, I got nothing on the trick.

This is why Penn&Teller show is actually BS. Too many suspect camera cuts, cut footage, intended zoom out in important moments. What I think I know about this trick that he controlled the card into position twice (one for finding and positioning after shuffle and one for the no3 spot). He probably did not know what the card really was until Penn told him during the trick... And all of the action (while truly masterful) was intentionally removed by cuts post production.

Boris is very good with his sleight of hand. There's a video that explains how this was done, and it's very elegant in its simplicity. It involves the chosen card, a gimmicked card and deft slight of hand slipping in cards between the two when counting off Penn's number.

There is a camera edit/cut at 4:39 that shows something odd, it hides the move. There is a solid pack passed from teller and then impossibly, he's cutting and positioning the cards that are now not squared. That's the point of manipulation.

The more i watch it the less i understand it, my theory he paid penn and teller for a once in a lifetime fake trick, theyre in on it. i have no other theories my brain hurts xD

Penn had to step in and save him. If you look closely at the cards after Penn picks them up you can see that there were more than one 2 of spades. He saw it and quickly squared up those cards so he could show it to the audience without them seeing. That's also why he never shows the rest of the cards to the camera or audience. Kind of how he saved Kostya Kimlat when he fouled up his during his second appearance. Card tricks require 100% perfection every time. If any part of it is caught then the whole trick is ruined.
