I don’t see the point of concreting the base. Just lay footing for the wall. Now you have a barrier at the bottom of your planter and no earth worms can migrate into your planter soil. The reclaimed brickwork and pathway looks spectacular though!

I’m interested to know where you got the bricks? I am looking for similar ones with a lovely variety of colours.

Do I have to use concrete or can I lay directly on soil? I want to make large deliminated beds but less high than those on the video but wider. I have a large bedding for vegetable but hard to get to the vegs on each side. So wanted to section it in portion by bricks and in between some stones. Thought bricks will be more resistant than wood beams.

Great idea, love it , golden rule don't waste money, just one thing if you turn the plunger around it will fix in to the tube easier and you wouldn't need to cut the tube at all, but still top marks thirty quid saved.

Im about to embark on my first ever attempt at brick work, making a planter. This has been super helpful and didnt assume any prior knowledge on the viewers behalf (because I have absolutely none 😂) no idea if I'll get it right but I feel more confident now

Will the lead not stick to the pipe at all? So there is no need to coat the inside of the pipe with grease?
