Sreten, what media are you using. I've had my Vixen 915 for about 3 weeks now. It came with a bag of glass 100/150 media which is fantastic on alloy but not very good at removing any paint & slow on rusty steel parts. I was hoping to also use it for refurbishing alloy wheels too. It's a really magic machine but I do think it's important to use the correct media for the job

G'day, How much media would you use on an average job. Let's say a small engine and parts taking say 1 hour machine time.
Media would last around 40 hours for glass beads. Media is reused or flows back to the hopper for reuse.

Had an engine rebuilder leave blasting debris that got caught in a valve guide and the head had to come off again. Not great!
If that’s the case I’d say the guy who assembled the engine also missed a few areas of inspection before final assembly of the hardware into the head or block ?
Sorry to hear this, Leon! We recommend plugging/blocking any areas you don't want media getting into prior to blasting to prevent this from happening.
Should of inspected it a lot better Only takes a minute to inspect, take a bit longer to strip down

Thanks, Edison! We are very proud of our Aquablast! To prevent media from getting stuck in oil passages we recommend plugging/blocking these prior to blasting. Hope this helps 😀
I've used these machines, and you will need to clean the heck out of them later, no matter how much you plug it the ceramic media will always find it way in, all freeze plugs will need to be removed and cleaned manually.
Sandblasting gets it done, or wheel-a-bratter.
There are definetly a variety of methods! However our dust-free process uses water mixed with abrasive that creates a slurry to simultaneously blast and degrease and leaves a like new finish and prevents and surface damage. :)
