i have a pedal commander and it throws my truck into limp mode out of no where and no matter the power setting, and no I'm not switching power levels while driving. 2016 dmax.
@@user-mq9yf1uv2j Some people in the comments would say that you did something wrong. I’m not one of those people. I know for sure that the pedal commander is JUNK. I hope you get everything figured out with you rig brother.

@@omegasupremez2832 Yes and no. I just didn’t like the throttle lag and the gear hunting. But a quality tune fixed all that. But yes, the pedal commander is aftermarket junk.

That is a really nice upgrade. But what I find ironic is that the guy who hated the half door in the back of the tundra now owns a truck with a half door. 😅
@@Robwho58 maybe it’s be it ironically looks better on the Ram to me. I still don’t like the half door on the Tundras.

@@lit_ram_42 you should be fine, worst case scenario minor trimming with the plastic but definitely nothing serious like a cab mount chop. Also my best advice to you when it comes to the tacoma is, go for the Overland torque tune rather than a throttle controller like the pedal commander. Trust me, that’s the best advice you’ll get from any Tacoma owner. And don’t always listen to Robmotive, I speak the truth on that.

@@gibsonf06 Speed limit is 30mph and that’s how fast I was going. And I definitely slow down when kinds are out playing in the street. And honestly, considering we have allot fast driving chargers and bmw’s…I’m probably one of the slowest drivers in the neighborhood 🫡

Dang and I was thinking about trading my Jeep in for a 4Runner…
@@cmkpro81 don’t get me wrong they look great but it’s not worth the price for me. Even if it means spending a little more to get a full-size truck I’d rather do that and in my case, I spent less and got a full-size truck with a V8 and 4 x 4.
@@stay4therideI had a 2015 Z71 before my Jeep and I loved it. Only thing though is with my Z71 I had to put it in 4WD in more places whereas in my Jeep I can track through in 2WD. I know weight has everything to do with it, but I can now get to places in my Jeep that I couldn’t then because of the compact size. Now as far as a V8 goes…. My Z71 with the V8 had a 24 gallon tank and my Jeep has a 20 gallon tank. I get the exact same fuel economy. Today I want power and torque vs speed. Speed just makes people go back to the gas pump faster. My Jeep is geared @ 4.56 and will walk through owl $h** on top of mud. However I do miss the cab space and truck bed. Basically I’m saying today’s V8’s ain’t nothing compared to what they used to be.

@@stay4theride aren’t the 5th gen 4Runners getting good ratings? I haven’t found too many problems documented about them other than the occasional lemon or that one owner that didn’t take care of it. What’s your take on it?

Works great on Hemi and Ram. I used PCX brand never any issues.

How’s the ride quality going with the struts?
@@canamxmr4760 it’s definitely better than when I had the 2 inch spacers. I go over speed bumps every day to get to work, to and from and the truck handles that pretty darn well. Is it better than stock? Doubt it, but you really can’t beat these struts for the price. Zero regrets.

I have a 9 drive, and my controller just revs too high, and I can't stand it.

You lose money trading in a new car. Dealers will give you a depreciated value in order for them to make a profit reselling them.
Overpriced and bad quality with junky engine paired with an even worse transmission. Crazy how Tacoma & Tundra used to be known for quality or value for your money. That long term reliability is long gone.
