tape 'em. helps massively
250 pound guy vs 180 pound guy HMMmmmmmm
I hate to tell you boys this, but there is no guard in Catch wrestling! For the longest time flying falls and rolling falls were counted, even the original pinfall was secured as soon as the shoulders made contact.
No weight classes? Lol but good fucking match bro
That might be one of the most dangerous things I've seen in 50 year's of Grappling. Pure meathead move, just strength. There's a reason catch wresting is seen as a joke. It's water down WWE.
What a retarted statement...
It's a Dick Move! Com'on, you don't appear to be stupid.. The angle and amount of pressure placed on the spine. Too dangerous.
Hey that’s me reffing lol. When you hit that it scared me for the other guy. I still talk about this moment with people today lol.
Very simple and nice, why does this not have more views?
My knee hurts just watching
You’re too old to be doing this. Go back to your wheelchair old man 😂
What I learned in your class. saved me three different times. people need to just listen and do what they're told., sometimes single that things seemed a little tough that's because you're teaching us to keep ourselves alive
Because of Johnny Buck three times my life has been saved the man has no respect for life and one day I'm going to learn his
Speaking of a well versed grappler it reminds me of Kevin Lloyd. He is trained in Japanese jujitsu, bjj, catch wrestling, and freestyle wrestling. He had competed in bjj, catch wrestling, and freestyle wrestling. And just like sakuraba he is also a pro wrestler.
Thanks sir
So true
Very simple, very effective. Thanks for the instruction of the Anaconda Choke.
There's no way i can use my weight against Elisha anymore
Haha you don’t have to be heavy, just FEEL heavy
@@JohnnyBuck2 that's the only way I held him down before it's over a year later and he's been training the whole time there's no way it's working anymore
Are y’all the same weight class? Dude looked like he had 80 pounds on him
If i buy three foot pics,is the third one free? Asking for a really creepy imaginary friend.
Ed Sheeran looks different
Classically trained black star catch wrestler here…your demonstration and technique looks great brother.
The simplicity of this Art is unique ✨, gently move.
I had to make a 2nd comment here. This teacher moves like a cat, is an excellent instructor, is very knowledgeable. You deserve more subs. Figure out how to get those subs bc all the ingredients are here for your channel to get the exposure you deserve. Thanks again.
Great technique. Great instruction. Ty.
When is striking allowed. Like. Can a guy come out swinging? Is it only after achieving mount?
as soon as your opponent is grounded, so no striking is allowed on the feet until an opponent puts both hands and knees on the mat
@@lovekairos that's very specific clear phrasing. Thank you
Thx boss
Important your thighs need to be above their knees. If not butterfly is coming.
What does CJJ stand for?
Combat jiu jitsu, it’s jiu jitsu with strikes

Real shit bro 💯
I kinda disagree with you. I think there is room for a sport that focuses on submissions, but also staying off your back. I think its something that is meaningfully different as a competition, and allows for slightly different tactics/strategies because being on your back would be in danger. No, that doesn't really "square up" with usefulness to mma, but I'm kinda tired of every "combat sport" not being a sport for their own sake, but instead they exist to make mma bigger. With that said, grappling is grappling, and I agree with you that catch wrestling will never be this huge force.
There is luta livre ( catch wrestling and judo). And hey dobdo butt scooting and guard pulling as much asmuchcas bjj.
intro could have been shorter.
I wanted to give a layout what was coming I agree, but 🤷♂️
hahaaa the chinstrap neck crank, the grab at the toes from side control for a sneaky footlock and of course the dragon sleeper. catch lad doing the biz
Mr. Buck, I'm wondering why techniques like this aren't taught in wrestling (typically, I think I have seen one or two guys actually get choked unconscious in a front headlock in matches). As far as I can tell, that frontlock isn't (at least blatantly) illegal, and could easily be hit in an actual folkstyle wrestling match. Why is this? Why isn't this knowledge more common in wrestling?
Because it’s not the objective of the sport. It’s kind of a douche bag thing to do intentionally. If you want to choke someone do catch or BJJ
