Indigenous tattooing being revived in the Yukon
Indigenous tattooing is back in the Yukon. A Kwanlin Dün First Nation citizen is reviving the tradition. Anne Spice is in Whitehorse for the next few weeks to tattoo almost 30 members of her community. The First Nation's health and wellness team is paying for her work. It's a way to bring back a traditional way of healing. Virginie Ann met with the artist during one of her tattoo sessions.

How rare are grolar bears?
zhlédnutí 37Před 2 hodinami
There have long been reports of hybrid bears in the Northwest Territories. A mix between a grizzly and a polar bear, they're often referred to as either grolar bears or pizzlies. A new study shows us these unique creatures are rare, and confirms they're all descendants of one rather "strange" female polar bear. The CBC's Liny Lamberink explains how. #grizzly #bear #bears #grizzlybears #polar #p...

Global warming has melted most of the permafrost. All the water is sinking straight through the ground. The oil and gas industries would like to not acknowledge this fact. Doesn’t take an educated know it all to see it.

Wow
Absolutely Women can hunt and don’t have to compete or prove anything. However, women are not and never will be “equal” to men and men will never be “equal” to women either! Our biology alone rules that out. This isn’t sexism or misogyny, it’s basic fact. There are things women can do that men can’t or that women are better at than men and vice versa. This makes us unequal. We need to stop seeing that as a bad word unless it is applying to HUMAN + CIVIL RIGHTS. We should all be equal where those aspects are concerned. Hope my ladies can understand and agree! 😘

Oh look! CBC propaganda! Shocking.
If you're just using the truck for around town, I think less than 20g truck will do. Spending 100k just for that is pretty stupid. He must have dumb money.
You will own nothing and be happy
Looks kinda cold in that electric truck Does it not have any heat?? I certainly don't want one these electric vehicles...heck just look at the replacement cost of a battery is the same cost as a new ev! Or them catching fire . They have been banned in so many places now and insurance companies are charging more for insurance on them because they are high risk! The saddest part is the child labour for these batteries!
It's clearly fleshed out already. Are they just demonstrating foe the camera? What more could continuing to scrape it possibly do?
It softens the hide otherwise the hide will get hard and not be able to be used for crafts
Stretch and soften it. These people know what they are doing 100%
So you lost 50% power and that's OK? Seems like those vehicles are good for city folk and not regular workers who use their truck in the country.
I watch a CZcams in Norway- where it's colder than Canada, who routinely drives EVs to the Arctic Circle. Maybe Canadians just aren't clever enough to have EV's...
We're clever enough to not have them. You can keep them.
My backyard is bigger than Norway.
compare each countries landmass.
He pulls camper trailer 75km and has power all summer at campsite. That's a very expensive battery pack to power led lights and sat tv.
*IMPORTANT INFORMATION* left out in this video. Batteries only last 4-6 years at most and cost $50,000 on average to replace. With the majority of the population using cars that are older, EVs will make car ownership for the WEALTHY ONLY. Also, did you know that 1 quick charger, on a hourly rate, uses as much energy as 280 houses? .... could you imagine the energy required if EVERYBODY switched to EVs 😨 I'll keep doing the sensible thing and drive my V8 muscle car ✌
I’ve got a 2012 ram 3500 diesel with 480,000 km on it. I’ve replaced the two batteries once for 320.00 bucks, I’ve got a small slip tank in the back so I can drive about 2500 km before I need to fuel up and it only takes 5 min to do so. I think I’ll stick with what I got 😂
The batteries last much longer than 4-6 years and don't cost $50,000. As for the electricity requirements of hundreds of homes that is also false. Not sure where you are getting this information.
Evs have its place ... and it's not everywhere it's in the bigger cities and southern states where it's warm all year not in Canada!! It's should be forced upon us should be a choice till at least 2050
Why would you buy a vehicle that limits you in an emergency situation. Fifty five percent loss in battery life 200 kilometers of distance for that much money is ridiculous.
It looks like an even more idiotic and pointless idea than in the rest of the country. A better question is what lying state-funded Liberal propaganda hacks posing as journalists look like frozen solid in a snow bank in the subarctic.
Has range ever been an issue? Only during an emergency... *face palm*
CBC ??
Him and his entire family is from the yukon. Crazy you guys lie for a story.
Facts
Trade that crap in before it’s not worth anything. Your battery will need replacing before you know it or it will catch on fire. If a Hyundai ionic 5 battery costs over $50k to replace wait until ford gives you a bill. EVs aren’t for Canada.
Curious as to why they are bundled up inside the vehicle. Is he conserving the battery by not having the heater on , or having it on but on low? If that is the case, that sucks. Should be instant heat!!
Exactly my thoughts
