Are Womas more ground dwelling than lets say Coastals or Jungles? By the look they seem to be more heavy bodied
Yes they are not as graceful off the ground as other pythons. They don’t have much of a prehensile tail

That’s very unfortunate. They’re definitely a wonderful species worth maintaining. Gotta change that and become the Woma king over there!!
@@Rileys-Reptiles That would be really great, the last ones I saw were at a reptile fair in Barcelona. The laws on reptiles have been tightened, all snakes must be electronically chipped. And all animals coming from Guyana are prohibited because they are French territory.
The international reptile laws varying from country to country is so hard to keep up with. European countries could really generate some revenue in fostering a legal internationally governed and regulated reptile market for people. But that’s way more complicated than it sounds I’m sure

I love Papuan Carpet pythons. I have a 9 year old male at home. I got him back when they were still called "Irian Jaya" carpet pythons, or simply "IJ's". Hes never skipped a meal, never not had a complete shed, and never bitten anyone. Hes rock solid.

I just captured a 16” long Texas Indigo hatchling. The snake is refusing to eat a f/t fuzzy mouse. What would you suggest in terms of scenting the mouse to get the snake to eat it. Thank you.
I would try getting a can of unsalted tuna chunks and dip it in that. Cans of that are cheap and at most common grocery stores

I have seen an adult female (behind glass) at a friend’s house; really something to behold! She was showing interest in me, then turned attention to their dog (a young male bull mastiff 😂). Intelligent and powerful animals I gather 😅

I got my Apadora girl (Yoshi) 3 years ago and absolutely love her! And every time I interact with her, I always ask myself how cool this animal would be as an albino!? Do you think that would be possible one day? Sorry, I am a newbie here and don’t know how morph genetics works 😅 But anyway thanks for sharing, not many people working with these out there.
Yeah they’re pretty amazing snakes. Love them. I honestly think an albino would detract from their beauty personally. I wouldn’t change a thing about them
The iridescence is the most beautiful thing about them imo. Also, and this is more for Riley. Is bad eyesight, shortened lifespan and more exposed to cancer more frequently found in albinos?

Hi, I live in the south of France and there are many sanctuaries for hermann tortoises. Unfortunately there are more and more fires due to global warming but the fire department watches over and protects the sanctuaries.

Yes generally in Morelia twinning like that is a genetically heritable trait essentially. So they theoretically should produce twins in reproduction down the road.

Especially at night! my girl is the sweetest but she gave me a good quick feeding response nip a few months back my fault lol but instantly let go knowing I wasn’t food lol went back to her branch and waited for food lol
They generally do let go unless they’re super food driven individuals. But yes, at night time even the nicest carpets have instincts driving them!

I am considering a Bredl’s. I keep and breed ball pythons. I am also growing up a small group of bull snakes, with the hope of breeding them as well. I’ve always loved the carpets, and Bredl’s are my favorite. I also work with kids, so the video was awesome. Let me know when the Bredl’s you produced are ready.
i almost got my first as a bredls! wonderful snakes and i heard they have an amazing temperament! that being said i have two carpets now and neither my adult or baby are nasty in any way.
