Hey Joe! I live in Omaha Nebraska, not much for cool rocks around here but we absolutely love traveling as much as we can to feed our passion for rocks. Been wanting rockhounding CZcamsrs for a long while now, and you are quickly becoming one of our favorites. You’re genuine and not afraid to leave footage in of you tripping or being silly, I love it! That is truly what people love to see! You are funny in a dry humor kind of way and you comment on things around you in nature and animals, which makes your videos unique as well. 20-30 min videos are the best, the sweet spot, and the least amount of cuts the better in my opinion. One thing about watching CZcamsrs is they all have something unique about them, so keep doing you! Our favorite CZcamsrs are Tapp in the American west, rugged rockhound, agate Ariel, agate dad, currently rockhounding, wayward Woodward, agate angler, Utah rockhound, and Adventures of Shadow. Hope this helps! Can’t wait to see more videos from ya! :)

Thank you for the kind words! I was recently in Omaha for a week and made an attempt to go to the river there. I ended up finding a small stream along a tiny deer trail that had gravels but was disappointed to find the Missouri River to be quite muddy (also the water levels were quite high)

@@adventures-with-joe you are very welcome! Yeah, Missouri doesn’t really have anything.. Platte is supposed to but so much of it is private property and it’s just so sandy, I’ve never had any luck finding anything. Omaha is a great town for sure, but no good for rockhounding :(

I polish countless pieces of petrified wood, but most are far larger than that. It's great to see that you(she) found that piece. Here, most pieces are fist, to shoe box, sized and just north of here you can find whole trees petrified. I polish a lot of rocks, but petrified wood is my favorite and turns out the best finished specimens. Great video!

If you are ever in south Texas, the Coastal Plains, you can find it on any gravel road or creek or river sand bar. @@adventures-with-joe You can find petrified wood almost anywhere, but sometimes it is deep in the ground. I was in New Mexico a few years ago driving to Chaco Canyon, way out in the desert, 20+ miles of unpaved road to get there, and I saw a 2 foot long piece of petrified wood laying alongside of the road. I never thought to see any there. If you ever travel this way I can tell you where to go or give you some of my finds.
