zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed 2 lety
Moving snow with a my new John Deere 4066R with a front mounted PTO powered 80 inch snow blower and a 96 inch rear blade. The video includes a view from outside (which sometimes gets covered in snow and water droplets) and some shots from inside which are substituted when the outside camera gets covered in snow / water drops. Mix of normal speed and 2.5x speed. The snow was only around 6 to 8 i...

Great video, also very nice presentation on QRZ, thanks for sharing. 73 W6QX
That's it
Nice tower. Is this considered a self-supporting tower or did it require guy lines ? Cost ?
Its self supporting
@@chrisicide8036 May I ask the total cost ? I currently have a 35' tower for a GMRS repeater but it's nowhere near tall enough. I can't install a guyed tower at my house (not enough room) but all the self-supporting models are between $3500-$5000 for that height and I just haven't been able to afford that much.
@@johncase2974 The heights towers are all aluminum and the prices are significantly more expensive than non aluminum towers of the same height, This one with the power folding function was more that $12k and the 10 yards of concrete that provides the foundation for it added a good bit to that.
@@chrisicide8036 Thank you very much for breaking it down, much appreciated.
Spooky! Nice tower man
How big and how deep is the concrete pad under you're awesome tower please?
The engineer called for a 12 foot deep 48 inch diameter cylinder. We dug with an excavator, so it ended up about 4.5 feet square by 12 feet deep. So somewhere around 9 yards of concrete.
@@chrisicide8036 Thanks!
Think of the stress and stain on the motor and screw drive!
Nice setup!
I want one! Not 100' but only 60' I have no tower builders here in Louisville.
How much is a 113 foot tilt over like this ?
The tower alone (not including cement placed in the ground - which was a substantial cost in itself) was just north of $20k.
How much did it cost? What’s the model number?
Fme - that is a well built tower to take that tilt weight 😍 Cheers
What brand/model?
What does this particular package cost?
Well done. Beautiful mast.
Nice set up
There's a great deal of work that goes into a set-up like this! Nice!!
wish mine went together and up that quick
Any idea what this particular tower package cost?
W-O-W!!!!
nice and relaxing :)
thats so long it could almost double as a LongWave mast :)
what a gorgeous part of the world and equally amazing setup you have there. 73's M7ALU
A really nice tower. I’ve always wanted a Heights. The tractor helped a lot in the early build. The family dog was always in the mix. You should make another video of you assembling the antenna and the lift up.
Whats this package cost?
Maybe consider dubbing an audio track explaining what is going on at the time? (Challenges and such) This would make the video much more enjoyable.
i quite, but politely, disagree - i find the additon of needless audio really distracting - if i really want to listen to music, i can put my own on. Much rather watch the video and enjoying whats going on, rather than audio (typically music) that adds no value and in alot of cases I find almost ruins a video due to it be overbearing. I'd be more inclined to say that some text comments on the process would be useful, or maybe some narration (but no music !).
@@alzeNL The previous posting didn't mention anything about music. He said "audio track", meaning build narration or tips & comments.
Chris, your QRZ page does not show your email address so I am trying to reach you through CZcams. WSPR is a great tool for propagation investigation and other purposes. However, your transmit signal is very distorted and is creating a lot of interference. Check the number of reports for your signal from each reporter.
there is no sound
