My MAF gave me a check engine light on '05 5.3. I was able to remove, clean, and replace. No problem since. I'm just a regular part time DIY guy. Do what I can or pay a professional mechanic to do it.
FAIL
My 2000 Silverado 4.8 L just hit 301,000 miles. This fucking thing is a beast. I’m also a mechanic and do all my maintenance and my maintenance.
Not buying chevy/gm truck no more. Sure the engine and transmission work good, but damn the rest of the truck sucks ass, literally falling apart little by little
Rather have a shear pin much easier to get going again
I love my Silverado cat eye. I have a long bed 4wd 4 door and it's great for work 😊
Just snip the plug off, then put the wire through the ring spanner, you get a new plug on the new one
Somebody changed my engine and I thought it was a bad clutch but it's probably not shimmed?
300000
it's to hot
I know right?
2004 chevy 1500 4.8 having problems reducing power already change throttle body sensor and sensor paddle
What codes u got?
Add ground wire to computer ..
that works on pretty much every chevy
My hero, how do I send fan mail?
What about if the compressor does turn on
Hey Matt keep up the good work. I have a question where did you get you service Manuel for the 2210, I have one but it doesn't show anything like yours, could you send me a link where I can get one that you have?
My favorite is when none of them need replacement
I know right!
That's not a "cheat code", it just resets the indicator
This doesnt make any sense. I bet you got grease accidentally on the U joints.
Do you know what this means? I just replaced my mass airflow sensor cause I got a P0101 code on my truck so I replaced it and I still had the code. What do you think it could be 03 Silverado 1500 HD 6.0.
Most pos garbage truck and engine since sliced bread
Nope!
You can GO laterrrrr haterrrrr.
What’s a good one
@@zackgunter3459 get Chevy or jeep Cherokee.
Matt where is your shop located?
FULL VIDEO Bottom Left
Its the oil pressure sensor (switch/sending unit) for me❤
They always go bad
Lateerrrrrrrr
Laterrrrr!
That will last 2 hours...good job
Engaging with fellow women in this thread feels like being part of a sisterhood, united by our shared experiences and aspirations for a better future.✨
It is not a 3000 miles it is a combination of short drive long drive and mileage and time
A lot of vehicles are like this some of em you have to hold the brake and the gas or do what you did or do some crazy shit me personally I think they shoulda made a specific button for it
Oh and most new vehicles are set to 5000 because of the full synthetic bull shit I know this is an older truck I just over explain everything 😂
also works on mopar
Matt, thank you for making this video!!! This was an absolute life saver!! So helpful!! I was having no spark with the same motor. Did basically exactly what you did with testing the timer base etc. Keep making these type of videos! Thanks again!
Lets in a ton of air but also a ton of dust into the engine. Stick to a good oem air filter
Instructions unclear now have a flooded carb and no change oil light
Yep that light is so annoying that this gets rid of it every time
This man saving peoples engines.
I was thinking just connect the 2 wires together. But then it would have the key in ignition buzzer with door open if the vehicle has one. I cant remember if mine ever had that or not.
I have a change engine oil that pops up in my 98 chevy lumina. Checked the oil. Shits still kinda yellow
Thicker oil ? Like 10w-30 ?
You can do this on any GM vehicle

I have one of those! Found it in the trash (I’m a garbage man). Great find!
Awesome find! Why would they throw that away???
@@MattsShop unfortunately when old tools pass through my hands because of my profession it is more than likely due to the original owner passing away. I save and restore what I can. Someday my tools will too pass through the safe route. I only hope they are recovered by someone else.
So glad I found this video!!! 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 Single cab SWB 2WD. 4.8L. Replaced both Schrader valves. Recharged and 😮 cold air again. Shop quoted my dad 1200 to fix it. 😡 I fixed in 20 minutes with this video thanks
You're welcome! That's a crazy price and they always leak bad.
@@MattsShop can you do a video on leak detection for the whole system. ?
Hey Matt, I have a question my 2006 gmc sierra at idle it gets stuck on 1000-1500 RPM until I hit the brakes and it calms down and then revs back up to 1000-1500 RPM. I’ve changed o2 sensors and nothing any ideas?
The first thing is to clean the throttle body and make sure it's not sticking. It could be a fuel related issue.
You don't have VAT?
Any idea why my rear locks dont work all of sudden
add three drops, anymore is unnecessary
This is actually working the best thanks
What about cam bearings
Umm, i tried this with my dad's '84, now it won't start, needless to say HE IS PISSED 🙁
Lol that has a carburetor
@@MattsShop lol yeah
The ground wire under the bed for the tail lights is ALWAYS a bad connection on my old Sierra.
Yea!
This is an awesome video. How's about telling us what the readings for each sensor should be? 👍
That sounds like a good part 2 👍
