I adored this. I have tears in my eyes it touched me so much. I don’t want it to be over, I want you to find a job and stay there with your friends! And yet, there’s a part of me that knows that this letting go is part of you, part of your journey in letting go of attachment. Every three years or so, I cut every single plant in my tiny garden back to nothing until my tiny garden is bare. Every three years my heart breaks a little but then I have the joy in seeing what unfolds again and watching it as it transforms. So, I’m kind of caught in the middle right now about your situation. Somehow, I think you are handling this better than I am right now! 😊

starting over... I remember when I signed my divorce papers. I remember when I moved into my tiny room alone. I remember when I started my first day of work at my new job after leaving the life I had invested so much time and money and effort into. I was scared, and depressed, and lonely. Even though he was bad for me, I missed my ex. I missed my school and my classmates and teachers. Today, part of me still feels nostalgic and melancholic about that time, but I've grown distant from it all. I started over in Washington. I left my family and my job and my home in Utah, and started over here. It was hard and scary and all so very new, but I'm proud of myself for being brave, for not giving up, and taking it one day at a time just like you. I know our situations are not the same. I won't pretend they are. But I hope I can give you some small comfort in knowing you're not alone. I'm sorry that all of this is happening to you. I love you, my friend. I'm glad we met. I'm glad to have had the honor of watching you shine. Life is not over, dear one. You are not alone. *hug*
